I forgot to comment on Oikura last episode, but I think that the advice she gave Nadeko regarding her parents was taken directly from what she learned with her relationship (and lack of direct communication with) Araragi during the time she taught him about math. She regrets missing out on a genuine connection with Araragi as she was singularly focused on achieving her goal of having Araragi notice and report the signs of abuse without directly telling him. She can now see that situation from Araragi's point of view as well, "You feel like you're doing everything they tell you to do, but the other side is thinking that things aren't going the way they hoped for. There's no relationship sadder than that." She also knows that it's not easy to be direct in communication and doesn't want Nadeko to undergo a similar experience that Araragi did, which is why I think she's encouraging her to look beyond what is explicitly stated by others, "Don't take the face value of their words as absolute, and make sure to see them for who they are."
