2025-07-31 23:23:59 +0000 UTCWell, possession basically means that their magical power is out of control (the demon trait is giving them too much power to control, that is why they transform and die). Adding the demon trait to people was originally meant to give people more power. Cid basically forces their magical state back to normal. From that point onward a possessed person can start to learn to control it. In essence possessed people have way more magic power than people normally should -> this means they are also much stronger than normal people if they can control it. I did say there are no official requirements to join the Shadow Garden - but under normal circumstances, people just don't have enough magic power to keep up with the standards of them ^^ So normal people aren't really considered as candidates I guess, unless they are exceptional in some way. (So, for example, Alexia is not exceptional in technique and/or power, and she is not possessed - no potential to have exceptional power, so she is not considered/recruited)
