In this case since the subs were a little unclear. The problem is that Koyomi is slowly turning into a vampire himself, not of Shinobu's lineage, but rather becoming so used to being a vampire that his soul is turning. That's also why his regeneration is much slower, since he wouldn't technically be Shinobu's kin, just a vampire by himself. So, even completely draining Shinobu wouldn't do anything, since she wouldn't be his Sire anymore. In other words, just a lone vampire without the benefits of being part of some powerful vampire lineage, he would have to build that up himself.

Safe to assume that Nadeko just beat the crap out of him every time and that's why Araragi started getting used to his vampirism lol. Also, Gaen gave them her phone number during the arc where Hachikuji passed on, that's why they have her number.
