2024-04-27 04:05:16 +0000 UTCboth announcing on the day and rolling before it have advantages. here are some pros/cons, its up to you do decide though: announcing on the day: pro - some people work well with suprises / pressure and are able to be more effective that way. announcing on the day would set goals you must achieve. con - no time to prepare, just sit down and write it out. might make the flow seem a bit random. announcing before: pro -would give you time to mentally map how you want to write, some people work better when they know ahead and sleep on it and only then work. con - a potential issue could be duplicate stories, if story X is chosen for Sunday as well as Monday it could either be completed early on sundy, leaving monday open without a story. con- knowing before might create a sense of complacency, causing slower progress and potentially delays. there are certainly other pros/cons but thats what i can think about for now. I have another suggestion for a method. I dont know its name, but essentially you randomly pull a story and work on it, like it is now, but instead of keeping it on the list you remove it from it (wheter you finish it or not). continue until all stories are removed from the list(have been worked on) and then refill the list and do it all over. that way you will work on everyone's story eventually and it will be a matter of time rather then luck. people will know that within X amount of stories you will get to theirs and there won't be cases of some lucky guy getting his story selected 4 times in a row. tl;dr a bit of runt but there are some ideas and thoughts here. let me know if anything what you think.

2024-04-26 23:45:12 +0000 UTCSo far it's been more efficient than Flash Slot business and leaving up to me, being put into focus has been easier when it comes to random selection. So I'd say yeah, doing more tomorrow though as well as for Sunday, though wondering if I should make randomizer selections now ahead of time than wait for the day I announce winners. Thoughts?
