Sure its respectable to an extent, they respected her wish and didnt pry. But after she’s missing, they still respect it, and don’t think for a second maybe it will give them a clue to where she could be. It just seems like they’re not even trying their “hardest” to find her, if they’re not trying to learn everything about her.

Iit really brought back the whole theme about victim and wrongdoer from the previous nadeko arc for me. She's def the wrongdoer, but she's lowkey also a victim from her parents upbrining. They wanted to keep her "cute" image even after she went missing, and they didn't even bother to look at her "dark secrets" that she kept inside her closet room just cuz she told them not to. If that is what they did even after she went missing, man their family relationship before must've been so superficial. Tho I can relate to it to some extent, ain't no way I'm spilling my dark secrets to my parents hell nah
