Just wanted to share the great news that today a new season of Monogatari has been announced! We're getting more stuff adapted soon! Don't look up any trailers though it might spoil things, but looking forward to watching them eventually. You'll probably be caught up to the latest episode before they air.

When asked by Shinobu, who he liked the most out of Senjougahara, Hanekawa, and her - he didn't answer, and when he was pressed again, he saw that Hachikuji was awake, and used that as an excuse to change the conversation by sexually assaulting her (lol).

Like instead of character gags or setup/punchline, I feel like the humor just comes from sticking the characters in a room and asking "what happens?" Hachikuji taking a leadership role is so great though haha. She's honestly such a rock for Araragi. Like she gives solid advice, directs conversations when she needs to, etc. Araragi worries about Senjou, Hanekawa, Shinobu, Karen, Tsukihi, etc. but by and large Hachikuji's appearances come with a sense of relief, a break from worry, and a fun little gag with nothing looming in the background. And maybe this is just grade A Copium, but this is one of those episodes that for me brings up the unreliable narrator thing. The Hachikuji gag we see as usual, but then later she just refers to it as "a hug". So it could definitely just be him exaggerating as a break from the tension of Shinobu/Ononoki squabbles. The second instance at the end, too, can be seen less literally and more of a callback to her accusation of "What are you, a doctor?" Rather than show us, the viewer, his earnest concern and worry, he instead plays it off as a joke when he tells us the story. Often the truest feelings only come through in the notecard flashes (or at least I think that's the case). But yeah, I forgot how funny this episode was. Hachikuji is the GOAT as always.

When Hanekawa was staying over at Senjougahara's they both got a group message from Araragi saying "I can't come home for awhile. Don't vorry" Shinobu then showed up a day or so later looking for Araragi in his room, and encountered Black Hanekawa. Black Hanekawa asked her why she wasn't with Araragi and she answered that their pairing had been severed.
