2025-06-25 23:14:27 +0000 UTCA few episodes ago you guys were wondering about Kanbaru's feelings for Araragi, and I mentioned some cut dialogue that perhaps could have some indication on her feelings, and it would have appeared in this episode: "The more entertaining your story, the provenance of this left arm I retrieved from youβthe more Iβll tell you in return... Hey Kanbaru, do you have a type? Of boys you like, I mean?" βIβve never really thought about it.β βAh...you always did seem like a lesbo. That was the rumor going around.β βI canβt deny it. But I like boys too. I like them on the small side, and kind.β So this mentioning of liking small, kind boys seems to be a reference to Araragi, especially given how the novels emphasize more him being on the smaller side, with Karen and even Senjougahara being taller than him. This would appear to imply that she has or had feelings for him. Then again, just a little bit later Kanbaru refers to him, to herself, as her respected mentor, who she nevertheless can't consider a "decent" or "standup guy" due to his ever growing out of control actions (ironic given her actions towards him), mentioning specifically the "sordid" relation he has with his sisters. So maybe she does not have feelings for Araragi, but some of his qualities are something she would find attractive in other guys if they had them.
