SERN, and the real life version CERN, are based in Europe, so there aren't really any Japanese test subjects because they're on a different continent entirely. They're not specifically avoiding Japanese test subjects, there just aren't many Japanese people in Europe as there are Europeans.

2025-06-19 03:26:00 +0000 UTCThat was a good point about how the show casually drops in unsettling pieces of info. The overly playful atmosphere (largely due to Okabe bring ridiculous lol) makes it even more chilling due to the contrast.

2025-06-19 01:33:05 +0000 UTCI think it’s important to address this. So Okabe is actually going into college, he’s 18. Some people think he’s in his 20s cause he looks at lot older than he is. And yes, he does actually go to college studying some sort of engineering (most like electrical)
