She told Ononoki when they were shit talking each other before the fight: "I'll make sure you never make another posed look again" Then she got her ass beaten. lol That's why she considers that a dark chapter of her life. She doesn't want tor remember the Shinobu beatdown.

2025-06-14 17:50:32 +0000 UTCI think they plan to do OP/ED reviews at the end of each batch. Or at least they did for Bake. I agree though, moreso than most the songs being sung by the VA's and the lyrics being particular to the arc give them more weight than most imo. Only show I never skip them.

2025-06-02 20:42:22 +0000 UTCSo I haven't commented up until now (partially because I didn't want to spoil "traffic light girl's" appearance with my profile pic) but I just wanted to tell you that I'm really enjoying your Monogatari reactions. It's so fun to watch how you are discussing the chracters personality/developement, how you notice a lot of the finer details and make predictions. Also you are absolutely right about Monogatri becoming better writing-wise as the show goes on, which is quite rare for a lot of anime. Although I think that there is not a single bad arc writing-wise in Monogatari, almost all of my favourite arcs are from "Season 2" and "Season 3" of the show (the one you are currently watching is one of them). It's probably due to the fact that the author, Nisioisin thought out all of the major as well as many minor plot point years ahead of actually writing them. In fact, the show becomes more enjoyable the more often you rewatch it since you begin to notice all of those connections between arcs, the little details and forshadowing. It's honestly insane how well written the series is.

If its just Crunchyroll or Bluray version, etc. I noticed a few weird sub issues, so I went and checked my version and it seemed like some things were translated weird/some jokes were cut? I'm guessing this is Crunchyroll vs Bluray stuff, but idk. Maybe someone who knows more can chime in. Like 12:24 in this vid vs 8:47 in the Bluray version there's a pun that Ononoki says that was cut? Maybe I'm just hallucinating haha. Not a big deal *at all*, but this is the first time I remember things being a bit different aside from just some odd word choice here and there.
