Back in the episode where Araragi and Hitagi went on a date, every time Araragi said Sengygohara (I am not going to remember how to spell that long ass name), Hitagi was making a joke about it turning to her dad and saying Araragi was taking to him and not her, because she wanted Araragi to use her first name, not only because both she and her dad were in the car, but also because she wanted to establish their relationship had gone far enough to use each other’s first names. It’s taboo to use someone’s first name unless you’re family or in a serious relationship. Friends sometimes use first names but it depends on the setting and personality of the people. Araragi is the type to always use a last name out of respect, Hanakawa is the definition of respect so she uses last names, and the other characters are all younger than Araragi so they definitely wouldn’t use his first name, as they are taught not to disrespect those that are older than you. His sisters are the only ones who have a genuine reason to use his first name.

They became a couple in the middle of May (Mother’s Day) and only really got to know each other like a week before then during Hitagi Crab, so they haven’t been together for very long yet - not even 3 months including their brief friendship. Sengoku is more of the little-kid aspect too (I mentioned she refers to herself as Sengoku-chan before). She was friends with Tsukihi - who she calls “Rara-chan” - and bro/sis or uncle/auntie (male being onii-chan or oji-san) is used typically depending on age when referring to someone. It’s cutesy but also sort of a cultural thing that sort of helps bring a sense of community.

Koyomi also calls Hitagi by her last name, Senjougahara. The only girl who calls him something else is Sengoku, who calls him Koyomi-onii-chan, probably because she met him with his sisters, so she couldn't just call him Araragi, and the name remained after.

Since I have naturally dark hair, it's hard to actually reach platinum blond and it's a darker tone, more yellow, but I still prefer it over my natural. Also, thanks for the another double upload, I like that pace. If you don't want to bleach it like I do, I think ginger might be a pretty good choice, but that's more so just my preference xd I have a friend who had her hair dyed to ginger for maybe a year and it looked great. Speaking about Kaiki, he's a weird character, but really intriguing. I think it's fair to say he's one of my favourites from Monogatari and that I like him as much as Araragi.
