Chapter Two- The Ninja Lotus of Beauty and Lethality (Kasumi from Dead or Alive)

The next day, after having spent the most remarkable experience of his life with the beautiful and busty Mai Shiranui from the Ninja Clan village of Shiranui, Jaune was as happy as can be right now. He was currently taking care of his daily job bright and early in the morning with a smile on his face while he was hauling a new batch of rice up the steps of the twin mountain on the other side of the valley. This time it was in the form of a cart rather than a carrying bag after having learned his lesson from last time. Not only did walking up the steps with a brick-heavy backpack put too much strain on his muscles, but it also wore him out by the time he got back down to the bottom of the steps. After the Grimm attacked, Jaune felt this was the wisest move he could make since he has to trek up large mountains daily from both ends of the valley. This time around it was the Mugen Tenshin Clan he was visiting and he was going to leave early to avoid being mauled by Grimm again on his way back home. He would forever be grateful to Mai for saving his life that afternoon when he thought it was the end, but he felt he couldn't depend entirely on Mai in case she had responsibilities elsewhere. Aside from the night of passionate sex between them, Jaune couldn't figure out where they stood on the status of a relationship. He didn't want it to be just a one-off tryst since he couldn't get her out of his head, but at the same time, he didn't have a concrete answer from her either. Mai left in the morning after they fell asleep cuddling in post-coital aftermath, leaving him confused and occupying himself with his work instead of pondering on it any further.

Suffice it to say, he felt the cart was a great idea since his muscles were aching less and recovering quickly from the haul before. He would go back to trekking with weights around his ankles and a hefty backpack full of rice on his back soon enough, but right now Jaune was just focused on delivering to the other Ninja Clan while recovering. He was hoping to drop this off early and go home, but he was also hoping he could meet with another beautiful Ninja maiden and see if lightning strikes twice when it came to charming them. Mai may have been an isolated case, and Jaune was waiting to hear back from her on where they stand, but in the meantime, he was confident enough to try picking up girls until he hears back from her. Thanks to the bonus he got from the Master of the Shiranui Clan the other day, Jaune had bought a lightweight cart that was both very mobile and capable of lifting tons without too much of a problem. It made trekking up the mountain to the Mugen Tenshin so much easier.

'Thank you, Atlas High-tech industries. Seriously, this is going to save me a load of muscle stress and trouble. I wonder what this Mugen Tenshin Clan looks like and how they differ from Mai's group if they're supposedly rivals. Hope they add a tip though, because buying this thing even with the bonus I got paid stretched me pretty thin this week.' Jaune wondered as he made his speedy delivery up the mountain with relative ease.

He wore his usual everyday clothing like a pair of jeans with a form-fitting white T-shirt over his chest. His wounds were already bandaged up and nearly fully healed and his sword/shield combination was both polished and sharpened in case of another Grimm attack on the way back home. Jaune was prepared for anything today as he arrived on the horizon of the last set of steps leading up to the Mugen Tenshin Clan village.

It would officially be his first time visiting them and Jaune kinda hoped they were as kind as Mai and her grandfather were, but he had a sneaking suspicion they'd be completely different. He calls this nagging feeling a premonition sometimes and he just felt that something crazy was about to happen soon.

Regardless, while he made his way up the steps and saw the Mugen Tenshin village completely within his sights on the horizon, he saw a lone figure there waiting for him by the end of the steps. When he got closer and the sun was out of his eyes, he saw that it was a beautiful purple-haired young woman wearing a modest yet sexy ninja outfit completely clad in bright violet colors and sleek black. Her puffy shinobi pants had side windows on them to showcase her voluptuous hips with plenty of sleek midriff showing in the middle. She wore a sleeveless Haori top with a decorated scarf around her neck and basic black wristbands worn on both of her wrists. Jaune was surprised by how girly she was and how noticeable her outfit made her appear to be, but what really confused him was the emotionless set of eyes staring at him with cold, precise focus as he pulled the cart up and stopped right in front of her.

'Such a pretty doll-like face and yet I can't help but feel a lot of cold professionalism coming from this girl. I wonder if she's the leader or just here to take the load off my hands and pay me. Still very cute though, but maybe I shouldn't hit on her lest I get a Kunai in my balls.' Jaune wondered, feeling a cold sense of dread coming from the girl as he set the cart's handles now and put in the stopping brake so that it didn't fall off now that he was done moving.

"Ahem, good morning. I'm..uh..your delivery man from now on. Name's Jaune Arc, sone of the late great Johnathan Arc, and here to bring your clan the agreed-upon order of freshly farmed rice. I---"

"I am Ayane, pleased to make your acquaintance, Mister Arc. Now, if you'll please follow me into the village, I'll show you where you will be dropping off the parcels from now on." The girl abruptly cut him off with a sweet yet professional-sounding voice that left no mirth to be found. Jaune paused in his introduction and blink twice in a stupor before clearing his throat and nodding his head in understanding.

'Man am I glad I didn't hit on her, she might've really kicked me over the steps if I did. That's the kind of vibe I'm getting until I hear otherwise from this...Ayane.' Jaune thought as he nodded his head and grabbed the extended cart handles after undoing the braking lock on the cart. "Lead the way, chief. "

The girl turned on her heels and faced forward, keeping an eye on from the side as they started heading into the Mugen Tenshin village with Jaune gluing his eyes to the way she shook her ass. The girl had a serious sway in her hips, making it noticeable and distracting the horny teenage as they started heading on inside. He looked around and saw taller buildings, yet they were scattered around in an arrangement that allowed them to connect to other smaller ones similar to the architecture he found in the Shiranui clan village. While following Ayane and feeling mesmerized by the way her hips swayed, Jaune couldn't help but feel that he was being watched.

"So, nice place you got here. I'm guessing you guys do a lot of Ninja training on this side where the cliffs peak off, huh? I can tell because I can see a lot of target dummies lined.....with dozens of Kunai and arrows embedded into them." Jaune attempted to chat, barely hearing little more than a grunt from the girl as they proceeded up a gentle slope leading to another set of stairs leading to a mountain path.

He assumed this is where it led to the temple or wherever Ayanae had in mind for him to drop off the merchandise.

'Oh man, I am liking the Shiranui clan more already. At least they never had this arduous path leading to the drop-off destination, though I gotta admit, the Mugen Tenshin has a grand infrastructure that is really amazing to look at from afar.' Jaune groaned, admiring the tower in the distance as they began walking the path with Ayane keeping close to his side and with an eye on him out of wariness. 'She's definitely suspicious of me. It figures, with my old man now gone, they get a handsome new delivery boy that they think is probably some kind of spy or mole. So of course they'd be eying me like a hawk.'

"Excuse me, but.......how do you feel about our village so far, Mister Arc? I trust you won't have any trouble dropping off the deliveries at the main temple when we call for an order?" Ayane asked, attempting to make conversation while he avoided staring at her ass again. But of course, now that he was walking beside him, Jaune caught the equally distracting sight of her boobs shaking with every step she takes. They swayed and swished like she had basketballs inside of that clothing she wore.

'Seriously!? Is no part of this girl not distracting?! I thought I had a hard time looking at Mai since her outfit is skimpy as Hell, but the way every part of this girl's anatomy jiggles is just plain torture for me and my libido.' Jaune commented and gulped nervously, clearing his throat to speak with genuine honesty. "Well, I'll admit it's a bit of a stretch, more so than when I was dropping the parcels off at the Shiranui clan village, but I can take it. Makes me glad I brought this cart though, would hate to have to walk this path with only a backpack stuffed with pounds of rice."

Ayane simply nodded and carried on, signaling the Shinobi following them in secret that there was no need to worry about him.

"So, if you don't mind me asking; what's your deal with the Shiranui clan anyway? Do you guys have a bitter history mired in bloodshed and family feuds or something?" Jaune asked, earning a popped eyebrow from Ayane as she looked at him from the side.

"Hmmm, aside from the fact you're unusually calm when being within our village and knowing about hostility with the Shiranui, I must say you're rather....odd for a person." Ayane bit, making Jaune wince at her remark as he chuckled nervously while rubbing the back of his neck. "And as far as our history goes, I feel it is just a simple rivalry between professions. Such a thing is not uncommon between Ninja clans since we all take on mercenary work and Black operations in keeping the world safe. That's it, to the extent of my knowledge, or any that I'm willing to share with you."

"You're spicy, Miss Ayane. A d please, it's just Jaune. I'm not gonna lie though, I'm still very nervous since the atmosphere here is a lot tenser than in the other village. Plus I'm pretty sure you have guys stalking me, don't you?" Jaune guessed and Ayane's eyes flickered with surprise as she slowly nodded her head.

"You're surprisingly perceptive for a delivery man.  I'm impressed, and that's saying something since I don't usually like slack-jawed delivery men like yourself. Don't think I haven't noticed you staring at my body the entire walk here?" Ayane revealed, making Jaune blush squeamishly right on the spot and stiffen up with his eyes avoiding  Ayane's figure for sure this time.

To his surprise, he heard her giggle a bit in amusement as they arrived in front of the Main Temple Tower. To the ninjas that were following them, many were surprised that Ayane actually got to smile a little. Jaune had a natural infectious charm to him that most people never know about until they get to know him more intimately, Mai and her Grandfather can certainly attest to that.

"Well...*Ahem*..we are here. Allow me to show you inside where you'll be making the deposits. Just know that they'll always be a Ninja guard on the watch to receive you should the rest of us be out on mission duty. Other times it'll be me." Ayane mentioned as Jaune nodded his head, still keeping his eyes away from her voluptuous body as she opened the doors to the Temple Tower. She quickly gestured for the other Ninjas that were following them to come out of hiding, surprising Jaune a bit as they each took a handful of rice blocks into their hands and aided the blonde in carrying the entire load into the temple building.

Jaune whisted, feeling impressed and grateful as both he and Ayane got moving and went into the interior.

"Heh, I thought it was six. I totally called it, maybe I'm part ninja myself." He joked, earning a slight grunt from Ayane as they ventured inside. The pair went further to the back of the place on the first floor of the building where the Temple's kitchens were waiting for them.

"You couldn't last more than two seconds against a real shinobi. If you haven't trained since childhood, you'd stand no chance.~" Ayane bit again, making Jaune pout adorably as he felt his confidence get shot down a little.

'Ouch.' He thought and unloaded the rest of the bundled rice onto the kitchen stoves and tables, emptying his entire cart which was a surplus order like the Shiranui had before. Once they were finished, Ayane led him out of the kitchen and toward a random room somewhere inside of the main temple. Jaune had to leave his cart on the first floor since they traversed up a spiral staircase.

Once inside of the room they arrived in, he saw what looked to be the Grand Leader of the entire clan standing right there in center with his arms crossed. Jaune's eyes went a little wide as he noticed that he was a lot younger than he expected, and just like Ayane, he was hard to read and yet looked totally badass. He had the typical  Shinobi outfit armed with various light armor parts, looking like some kind of Black-Ops military suit. He fit the definition of a Ninja to the letter, save for his somewhat flamboyant pretty-boy hairstyle involving his hair dripping down the side of his face in a  set of bangs.

Ayane introduced Jaune immediately and gestured for him to kneel.

"Mister Arc, this is Hayate. Our Leader of the  Mugen Tenshin." She introduced and Hayate raised one of his hands to signal Jaune to be at ease and get up.

"It's an honor, my dad never mentioned anything about what the Mugen Tenshin clan was like, only that you guys were very honorable and very respectable ninjas that protect all of Mistral's countryside." Jaune pointed out and Hayate nodded, bringing out a wrapped bundle of money from inside one of his packets walked over to Jaune to deliver it to him personally.

"It is an honor to meet you, son of Johnathan. We mourn the loss of your father and share in your grief. Such is the way of life; to end at a moment's notice whether it be by Grimm or natural causes such as illness. Rest assured, you'll have our protection going to and coming from the mountain. Your family is the only supplier who has been unafraid of serving us and we greatly appreciate it." Hayate explained, making Jaune nod respectably as he took the bundle of money with gratitude, noticing it was stuffed full with a nice bonus. "There's extra in it for such a prompt delivery this early in the morning. Now then, Ayane has shown you the way up here, I trust you'll be able to find your way out and return down the mountain path safely."

'He's so cool! I totally regret thinking he had a boyband-style haircut. This guy is as nice as Mai's Grandfather and very professional to speak with too.' Jaune thought to himself, nodding with gratitude and bowing his head respectfully before leaving on his way out of the Master Room.

Ayane stood there with her arms, crossed wondering if he really knew how to get out.

"Ayane? Something troubling you?" Hayat asked, seeing the purple-haired Kunoichi nod her head with a sigh before turning her attention back onto him.

"I wouldn't say troubling, more like...I don't think that doofus will be able to find his way out is all." She put it bluntly, making Hayate wear a slightly worried look as they watched Jane leave the room completely.

Minutes later...

'How the hell do I get out of here!?' Jaune mentally screamed out as he followed one tricky path down another flight of stairs, only to wind up inside of a hallway that led into another hidden room he had fumbled his way out of. His sense of direction stunk and he found himself trailing in circles as he got lost inside of the Temple Tower.

"There! That flip-door has to lead to the way out! I just know it!"  He said to himself with a slightly deranged smile and pushed it open, putting himself outside of the temple in yet another secluded area that turned out to be a Temple Garden lush with greenery. He was surprised and yet infuriated at the same time. He was about to stomp his feet in frustration until he noticed a beautiful auburn-haired girl with almond-colored eyes appearing in front of him in a whirl of cherry blossoms.

"Whoah....what the....! Who are you? Also....hi?" Jaune greeted, feeling charmed by the girl's demure appearance and elegant graceful beauty as she stood there in front of him from a few feet away. She had a light-colored Kunoichi outfit similar to Mai's yet very sexy and sleek with practicality foremost in mind. From having long thigh-high leggings colored in pinkish white to wearing a skimpy tassel over her front and a loose-fitting Ninja kimono top that nearly let her breasts spill out seductively. Her skin looked as gentle and as soft as an angel and her eyes spoke of a sad, somber history with a lot of strife and tribulation behind them. Yet, in Jaune's eyes, she still showed kindness from within those amber orbs.

Her hair was a light auburn brownish color done back into a low-hanging ponytail that dripped all the way down to her ass. She was as charming and as angelic as Mai, instantly making Jaune charmed as he looked at her like a lost puppy.

"Greetings, what are you doing inside of the Temple Garden? You are not a Ninja of the clan, are you?" She greeted softly and saw him shaking his head side-to-side while being flustered.

"No, I'm just an idiot delivery boy for the rice who...*Ahem*..got lost trying to find the exit after receiving payment from your leader. Do you..uh...know the way out, by chance? Names Jaune by the way. Jaune Arc, it's short, sweet, and rolls right off the tongue." He greeted in his usual dorkish demeanor, earning a pleasant laugh from the girl as she placed a hand in front of her chest and introduced herself with a kindly smile.

"Hehehe, you're funny. I'll show you the way out. My name is Kasumi." She greeted in a sweet and soothing voice that left Jaune's stomach fluttering with sensation.

"Yes, please, and thanks a bunch." He added as he walked out the way she came, followed her down one spiral staircase connecting to the next, and made sure to tail her footsteps in case he fell into yet another trapdoor leading to the floor below. Jaune had just about enough Ninja hideouts and secret base entrapments for one lifetime thanks to this place.

While following Kasumi down to the second to the last floor reaching the bottom, the girl slowed down so that she was walking along beside him and spoke up with a smile. The way her long, smooth-looking ponytail looked when whipping around her shoulders aroused Jaune's attention, making him look straight into her almond-colored eyes with a nervous smile. Only Mai, and arguably the Kunoichi named Ayane, had this effect on him thus far. He was beginning to think it was a trait exclusive to Ninja women.

"So why don't you tell me about yourself while we make our way down to the exit, hm? I've always been curious how people of Remnant lived outside of Ninja clans like ours and the Shiranui. Also, you're probably the first non-clan civilian to have made it this far into the base after getting lost. Others would have fallen into traps and stayed there. have you trained yourself as a warrior, perhaps? Or even, a shinobi?" Kasumi asked with a delightful whimsy in her voice that was unlike the other ninja girl he walked with.  Jaune couldn't help but be charmed by her as he spoke up and went on about his story.

"Well, the name's Jaune, but you....already knew that. Heh. I'm here to replace my late father in being the neutral party Rice Deliveryman for both your ninja village and the Shiranui. As for warrior training, I do put a lot of time into my fighting style with my sword and shield ancient relics I inherited from my ancestor. So far I do well enough against small-time Grimm, but I still get my ass kicked if I get surrounded. Do your Ninja people ever have that kind of trouble or is it all stealth from behind and what-not? Sorry if I'm assuming too much.' Jaune said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously and getting only a warm smile from Kasumi as they made it to the last floor.

"Defense and offensive strategy are vital to anybody living in today's world, so it's good you train yourself regardless of what you can do. If it's not Grimm, it'll be Bandits or rival Ninja clans that are very hostile with both our clans and want us taken out. So far only the Black Spider clan is all that's left, but you never know what happens these days. I must confess something though, part of me wants to induct you into our training regimen because our mountain trail is just a little more dangerous than our rival's. Think...you can spare the time between deliveries to come here and take lessons from us? I'm regularly put on standby, so I have little else to do." Kasumi offered, feeling a little hopeful and making Jaune blush as he slowly nodded 'yes' to her request.

"Um, wow, that's a heck of a deal, so I'm going to have to say 'Yes, please, and thank you for that offer. Goodness knows that I would've gotten turned into Grimm food had it not been for Mai the other day. Are you going to be doing the training, by the way?" Jaune asked and Kasumi nodded her head promptly as they arrived at the exit.

'Yes, well both myself and my half-sister Ayane. She's the purple-haired Kunoichi you met earlier that guided you here." Kasumi informed him, batting her eyelashes at him with a coy smile that he almost missed. Jaune blushed, feeling his heart stammer like crazy as it had done with Mai.

'Ohhh man! She's totally flirting with me, isn't she? B-but what's the situation between me and Mai? Are we going steady? Was that a one-time thing? Ugh! I can't help it anymore, there's no clear answer to this, so I'm just going to go ahead with this. This girl is as sweet as sugar and beautiful to boot, almost like a Ninja Snow White.' Jaune ran these thoughts through his head and heard Kasumi clear her throat to snap him out of his trance and make him look in the direction of the exit leading out into the village of the Mugen Tenshin. "Oh, sorry, I was...heh...spacing out there. I'd better get back out there before it gets dark and Grimm jump me again on my way back."

As soon as he said this, Kasumi suddenly flinched and looked worried, knowing that bandits and rogue ninja of all kinds prowl both mountainsides looking for an easy target. Still, she said nothing and watched as Jaune grabbed hold of the handles of his cart, feeling ready to leave the village, but not before getting close to him and giving him her own form of 'Goodbye greeting' in the form of a kiss on his cheek.

*Schlup!*

"There, for luck trailing down the mountain. He he he.~" Kasumi said, giggling girlishly and blushing a brighter hue than her hair. She watched Jaune's face turn red and steam somehow puff out of his ears while he stiffly nodded his appreciation for her with a goofy smile.

"I'm feeling very lucky now. Heheheh. Thanks, ahem...Kasumi. I guess I'll be seeing you next round, huh? Hope you'll be the one receiving me when I do.~" Jaune said, winking at her and making the Lotus Ninja blush bashfully as he began making his way out into the village. Kasumi just stood there, waving him bye and keeping a sharp eye on his surroundings before disappearing in a gust of wind and lotus blossom leaves.

'Not just yet. I must make sure you make it down the mountain safely, Mister Jaune Arc.'

Just leaving the village gates and waving 'bye' to the two ninjas guarding the front gate secretly from the shadows, Jaune rubbed his cheek where Kasumi kissed him with a goofy smile. He was feeling very lucky indeed and got lost in thought while trailing down the mountain path with his cart.

"Ah, being a delivery man to these ninja villages is great. You get to meet cool people, flirt with beautiful Kunoichi babes, and best of all, you get a thick wad of Lien for your troubles just carrying rice. I might be able to start my own business and retire sooner than I thought, or at least buy some armor and upgraded equipment from Atlas sales. Even with everything Mai taught me in terms of close-quarters combat, I still have a long way to go and my sword/shield set needs an upgrade. Tch, maybe I need a gun too since I can't long-range with a sword and shield." Jaune said to himself walking down the mountain path and narrowly avoiding a few cracks into the surface, making the cart tumble and create a loud noise that attracted more than a few hidden entities hiding within the treeline.

Thinking about Kasumi again and feeling as though that peck on his cheek gave him a gentle breeze he came with a gust of wind and lotus petals, Jaune wondered if that girl was actively encouraging him to go out with her or hit on him at training time. He couldn't stop smiling at the idea and became a little aroused just thinking about it, especially with the way her skimpy Kunoichi outfit looked since it showed off her upper thighs and hip bones with her panty-clad nether region underneath. There was also the way her boobs jiggled noticeably from side-to-side just like her half-sister Ayane. Jaune couldn't get either of the two girls out of his head as he continued down the path for a good twenty minutes.

Making his way down and arriving at the halfway point, well out of sight of the village itself, Jaune could see the foot of the mountain where the entrance stood and grinned at his success until...

"Hold it right there, punk!" A gruff male voice yelled out and caused Jaune to halt in his tracks. He was seeing roughly eight vagrant-looking men armed with melee weapons like swords and spears and with one of them having a club in his right hand. They all looked burly and savage but with makeshift armor parts around their bodies as though they were savages who lived out in the Grimm-infested world of Remnant to pillage helpless villages nearby.

"Yeah! Fork over that Lien, boy. We don't want to have to rough you up so much that you're left for Grimm food." Another one said, making Jaune scowl and sigh visibly annoyed. He let go of the cart's handles and quickly put up his hands in a fighting stance that Mai had 'taught' him during their passion-filled night the other day.

'Tch, bandits. Go figure. If it is not Grimm or bad weather, it's Bandits. I swear it's like the universe hates me or something. A sword and shield might be too slow, especially with Mai's combat techniques that I supposedly mastered, so I better go quick and knock at least a few of them out befor making a break for it.' Jaune reasoned and shifted his footing into a proper stance, making the Bandit men all laugh before one of them charged him with his club swinging high into the air!

In a flash of speed and with the finesse of an adept warrior, Jaun swooped in underneath the man's guard and delivered a palm strike directly to his chest, knocking the wind out of him before sending an elbow strike into his jaw and kicking him backward into a rocky wall!

"Gaghh! Oohhh....!" The man groaned woozily before passing out, infuriating the other seven of his cabal as another one attempted to rush Jaune while he was celebrating his victory internally.

"Get him! Beat his ass down and nab that Lien from his pockets!" One with a kusarigama yelled out, causing the other handful of men at his side to rush Jaune, leading to the blonde hastily avoiding the charge of another brute before redirecting his momentum and making him crash into the rocky wall behind him!

"Mngghh!!"

'Hot damn! Two of them KO'd now! A personal best when it comes to dealing with bandits! I--oh crap! Dodge!' Jaune thought in panic as he narrowly avoided an overhead sword strike from the one who seemed to be their leader. He continued swiping at him over and over again until he put to use a learned Counter technique taught to him by Mai earlier on. "Gugh! Here goes!"

He ducked underneath his guard, grabbed onto his extended hand, and twisted it around before slinging the man into a crash course with his right kneecap landing directly in his face! With a hard crunch of bone meeting skull, the man was hit hard with Jaune's counter-attack, but not winded enough to pass out since he grabbed the boy and knocked him flat on his ass!

"Guhuh! Dammit! I was so sure that worked, better use the sword now...!" Jaune spat to himself and tried reaching Crocea Mors, only to have his right wrist stomped on by the leader and feel the rest of his body become restrained by the rest of his men. He couldn't move and struggled to break free, but there were too many of them overpowering the blonde teenager with raw muscle and brute force. The leader looked down at Jaune with a sneer, ready to literally kick his teeth in with his boot when he stepped flat on his chest with an enraged smile.

"Oohhh..you've done it now, boy. We're going to beat you into mush, take all your belongings, and leave you for the Grimm as a five-star meal. If only you had just forked over the money, it wouldn't have come to this." The leader growled and Jaune glared back at him as he raised his right boot up, ready to deliver a hard kick to his head when something else happened.
