2024-12-06 23:52:05 +0000 UTCIt was Rossini's, William Tell Overture. I think that's the one you are talking about. This series uses a lot of classical music, usually very well. I didn't like William Tell being used there because it felt like a Western cliche, and this series isn't often so openly cliched. The series is full of cliches but they are usually disguised by the wildness of the show. Musical cliches can't really be hidden, but I think using William Tell Overture for a hectic chase scene is only a cliche in the West and has not been used as often in the East. For that reason, I don't think it was done for Occidental appeal. btw... you mentioned Ouija. The name, 'Ouija', is copyrighted by a board game manufacturer. Ouija used to be very, very popular board game which people used to talk to their own subconscious. Psychologists and psychiatrists used it in therapy sessions. It had been known by the general public as a tool/toy for talking to one's own subconscious. It wasn't until the movie version of "The Exorcist" was released that it became associated with demons and evil. Overnight it went from being one of the biggest-selling board games in the world to being shunned as a tool of the devil. Therapists had to stop using it because the backlash from the movie had their patients believing all kinds of paranoid nonsense and so was not helpful in therapy any more. That's the power of movies for you. Sorry about all that lol. I just have to defend Ouija sometimes lol
