2024-12-25 11:07:44 +0000 UTCIn case someone hasnt cleared it already, Kabuto is the japanese name for Japanese rhinoceros beetle. :p I love when I get to translate japanese words that I know for people because I basically have learnt almost all I know of Japanese directly from anime. As a result now I can understand Japanese and read it in English characters but can't read it in Japanese characters and can't speak it xD So I have started listening to talk shows now without subtitles. I miss a lot of the words regardless, because Im limited to anime vocabulary xD

His hair loss and super-strength could be a result of something like that, since radiation giving people super-powers is very common in hero fiction, and radiation leading to transformations in general is very common in Japanese fiction, for the obvious reasons. It has to end up like that, surely. That 100 pushups, 100 situps, 100 squats and a 10k run every day is beyond my ability but it can't account for Saitama's strength after only 3 years! Mind you, wasn't that the main character's training regime in Solo Levelling? maybe it does work lol I do like the message it sends though: you can be stronger/better if you apply yourself and work hard with long-term goals in mind. All the short-cuts being taken: enhanced evolution; mechanical augmentation; they're just cheat modes that don't provide the disired result. There's no short-cut that gives better results than pure hard work. It's a good message.
