Thus is the last episode of Alex, your photographer boyfriend! Some of you might have guessed that this was not the original route I had for him (I didn't actually have one to begin with xD), but I'm glad I decided to explore this side of relationships. He is definitely one of the most divisive characters I have, and it was so interesting to see how the community responded to that type of situation.
It allowed me to dig deep into character, and it solidified how exciting it is to write for a listener who isn't passive in the story. Their decision inevitably pushed both of them down this path, and it was a breath of fresh air for me to examine.

I'm so so happy how this story ended. When they broke up I thought that was it but having them work through their problems together is so sweet and it makes me so happy that they got their happy ending 😭

I was honestly expecting this to have a sad or bittersweet ending filled with angst, but I am relieved to be wrong.😌 I'm more than happy that they're back together, but I'm extremely proud that they're not only going to therapy, but also actually listening to the therapist and incorporating those techniques into their daily lives, like how Alex caught and corrected himself when he realized that he was falling back into old habits. People so often attend therapy and then what they learn never makes it out the door. Zero effort is made to better themselves, and they just think that the act of going to therapy will solve everything. But seeing them actively work on themselves and take what is said during therapy to heart is a beautiful thing to see. And them being honest and communicating?? *chef's kiss* 😘 I stand by the fact that so much of everything that happened could've been avoided if the listener was just upfront about their jealousy. But the fact that they admitted that they were jealous of Rhys, even if it was just at the beginning, speaks volumes of how much they have grown and how courageous and secure they've become. It would’ve been so easy to deny it for the sake of keeping the peace and not destabilizing the relationship again, or even in an attempt to impress Alex with their growth, but being honest showed more growth than any lie could. Also, them telling him about their stalking habits and Alex having his concerns about it but no noticeable judgement, only understanding??? YES. This is the type of character and relationship development I live for. They both have become bigger people in the end.👏 There really isn't much to say other than I'm proud of this couple and how far they've come. This series turned unexpectedly controversial and I loved it because so many people had different viewpoints and takes. I'm gonna miss the fun that an Alex audio elicited, but I can't be too sad since we did get a happy ending after all. However, all of these stories/characters ending with happy endings is not making me feel great about the fates of Elias, Xanthus, and Dontis. I feel like we're using up all of our luck right now.😬 Praying for their safety everyday 🙏
