Outlines & Thoughts!
Added 2024-09-26 13:58:52 +0000 UTCSo, it seems like Cevyk is giving me a bit of a problem story-wise, and I managed to write Asirel and Andrew's outlines instead quite seamlessly. I definitely want Cevyk out before Halloween, but he might come out later than I initially thought.
I'm going to be more honest with myself and my content. When I thought about writing Cevyk's storyline, I audibly sighed and dreaded it. And I realised I did it. It's a bad sign from a creative standpoint, so after this audio, I'm going to retire him.
As a character, Cevyk is AMAZING. I haven't needed to write his story down because since the beginning, I've retained it as I loved it that much (and y'all know how my memory is). Unfortunately, sone of my ideas tend to be something that I can't execute with just myself. They require multiple characters, and a much bigger landscape to play on. If I had that, executing Cevyk's story would've been very different. He and Iqsus would be out more, exploring and interacting with the world around them.
There is so much depth to him that you'll never see because there isn't an opportunity for me to show it. The world he exists within could be exceedingly rich with a spoken conlang I started to make because I can never half-ass that stuff. When I make new locations or worlds, I'm always compelled to make sure they have some kind of consistency, and that means working on some type of origin and language that it derived from.
But for Cevyk, I'd like to retire him before he becomes two-dimensional.
For now, I'll be focusing on the outlines I've completed, but I'll update you about everything I do!

I personally don't mind you wanting to move on from this character if it feels like the right decision. I always love reading about how excited you are when you come up with new ideas and/or characters, and if this one does not inspire that anymore, I think you're doing the right thing moving on from them! <3 We'll probably get a lot of amazing content back for it in return. (Also holy shit you were creating a spoken conlang for this character's world??? That's INCREDIBLY impressive and says a lot about your creative skills 🤯). Good luck with all of the creative decisions Saku! <3 don't overexert yourself either please!

So i am looking forward to any content you'll be putting up since all your characters have something attractive and new to offer. Will you be bringing any new characters anytime soon though or you'll be working with the older characters for now?
