After almost three years, The Boss series has officially ended! His first episode was posted a couple of weeks after Andrew's, and this was back when I had no intention of making anything a series. His development wasn't something I had to think about until he became a popular character on the channel, but it was a fun challenge to shape him into the man he is now. I loved creating his backstory and delving into PTSD, anxiety, and how those traumatic events can cling to someone through to adulthood and dictate their every decision.
At some point, I wondered if I should dive into a darker, more story-based plot with him, but I realised that at its core, the narrative of Isaac Rhoades revolved around an opportunity for closure, healing, and confronting buried fears.
Thank you for loving this once stoic private investigator! And though his main story may be over, you will undoubtedly see him again.

I think his character development is one of the best and considering how complex his story was at some point I just have to say that you did an amazing job once again. You ended 2023 beautifully with this audio and I can’t help but notice how much your work has improved over the years. It was incredible, thank you Saku ✨ (btw the french accent at the beginning of the audio was on point haha)

I remember re-listening to the audios and creating scenarios in my head about how the story might progress. The way his bond with the listener was established and eventually turned into something very solid was MAGICAL. I loved this series so much! Thank you Saku for such an amazing journey. At the beginning of this series I would've never guessed that underneath all of that cold stoicism is someone who rambles when he feels shy, blushes like a cherry mentioning something sappy and cheesy, and is overall an incredibly kind, sweet, overprotective, and loving man. I sometimes forget that he's only in his late twenties even though the way he talks, acts, and carries himself says otherwise. He's one of your more mature characters, which was suitable for this trauma-riddled journey towards healing, but he felt so young here - he felt his age. I absolutely loved the development of his character as he slowly opened up, and going back to listen to his earlier audios, he even sounds different. He was much colder and straight-laced/monotonous in the way he talked, whereas now there's some warmth in his voice and fluctuations in pitch. It's crazy to see how curt he was with the listener in the beginning versus him stumbling over his words now. He literally sounds like a man in love 🤭 The slow burn was INSANE (I still remember gasping when listener kissed him in pt. 5), but to see how far we've come is *chef's kiss*. And the fact that the listener will be his partner on cases now like a badass duo is all that I was hoping for. I thought the ring exchange was cute at first but then he read the inscription and I nearly choked up holy shit. Honestly, this is the best ending he could've had considering I was really theorizing that he was going to die midway through his series. 😬 Although this was a great send off, I am a little sad that his series is ending. Even though he'll reappear periodically, I'm still going to miss this sweet man. He has always been in my top 3 fav characters and I've been keeping up with his story since it practically began (an incredible 2 years) so it's hard to let him go. But well done for wrapping up his story so beautifully and showing his growth through his trauma. I am truly thankful that you created such a beloved character. Anyway, Andrew's series ending at the beginning of this year and Isaac's at the end is literally soulmatism idc 😏

Everything that came out from this character in this finale truly won me over. Isaac's character development throughout the series was so worth lending an ear to and so was the slow burn. It was so heart breaking to hear him cry over how fearful he was about being alone and not able to love... But, he doesn't need to carry all that negative weight anymore now that we have arrived. Thank you SO MUCH Saku for arranging Isaac's finale! Best 44 minutes in absolute heaven! The amount of expression and emotion you brought out of Isaac really did pull some heart strings from me, but in a good way. As usual, you did an incredible job!
