This first image of the introduction, and a second one with the action. 😎 Hope you enjoy XD and thanks for your patience XD!
Daphne was changing the radio stations as they were driving around town. As she was changing them she stumbled upon a news station. She took her hand out of the radio and stayed looking at the screen as the anchor was speaking. Apparently there is a report of the sudden disappearance of some girls in the area. Day after day there’s a new girl missing. Some precautions have been suggested to parents and girls returning from school and outside activities are not recommended at the moment. Daphne looked outside the window as they were passing outside a small plaza. A lot of groups of girl friends were hanging everywhere. She could see others with their school uniform walking as well. Some alone. Daphne then looked quickly at Fred.
“Did you heard Fred? There have been girls our age suddenly disappearing. Oh I wonder what would happen to me!” She said in a victimizing way as she put her arm on her forehead and leaning slightly towards him. “But I bet I am safe since someone big and strong will protect me, right?” She opened one eye looking at him with her arm still on her forehead.
“Yeah!” Fred said. “Scooby will protect you! He has grown so much lately. Right scooby?” Scooby replied on the back happily. Daphne crossed her arms and looked outside the window with a frown.
“Missing girls range from an age of 6 to 12. If you have any information of the missing young women please contact authorities.”
Fred parked outside a restaurant and they all got out of the van and starting walking on the sidewalk towards the restaurant.
“What would you do if I disappeared like one of those girls Fred? Would you rescue me?” Daphne said in a flirty manner.
“Of course! I wont leave a friend behind, count on it!”
Daphne frowned again. A friend! Hmph.
They all entered the restaurant and sat on a table.
“Guys what do you say? I think we can solve this mystery.” Velma said. Shaggy and Scooby were rising their arms and calling the waiter one on top of each other.
“Sounds a little dangerous. We can’t put you guys at risk.” Said Fred.
“Yeah! Didn’t you hear? Girls like you are going missing!” Shaggy added.
“We’ll be fine!” Velma replied with her face resting on her hand. “Besides, as girls we can think like them and maybe find where they are. You guys would never understand.” A waiter came with a pizza and placed it on the table. Shaggy and Scooby started digging right away.
“But where to start? We need some information about these girls.” Fred said while taking a slice of pizza.
“Look!” Velma exclaimed while looking at her phone. She pointed it towards Fred and Daphne. “Here’s an article! It says here that some of the missing girls were last seen close to the houses near the forest. One witness report says she saw some sort of monks at the site of disappearance of one of the girls.”
“Monks? Like a sect of some sort?” Asked Fred.
“I don’t know. This is all the article says.” Velma scratched her head.
“Well it seems we have our first lead.” Fred said as he took a bite of his pizza.
They all got out of the restaurant and were walking towards the van. On the sidewalk in front of them there was a woman talking sobbingly to a news camera and a reporter.
“My daughter! If someone has any information about her please let us know! We are all so worried!” The woman said between tear drops.
“When was the last moment you saw her? The reporter asked her.
“We were at home! She was on her room on her computer playing games and st- streating, I mean steering. Sorry I don’t know the term. Whatever kids do this days on their computers and their cameras, and she said to her audience she was going to take a break! She said, mom im going to the store for some snacks! So I gave her some money and-“ The woman started crying. “She never came back!”
“As you can see the story of a mother and her missing daughter is just one of many-“ the news reporter said towards the camera. Everyone got inside the van and closed the doors.
“Did you guys heard that?” Asked Fred.
“Yes! Really interesting. So that was the mother of one of the missing girls, and according to her narration of the events it matches to this other article. Listen, the popular girl streamer “cookiegame” was one of the first girls to disappear 2 weeks ago. She and her friend “nurse disrespect” , which was also a streamer, went missing as they were returning home from school. Another popular girl streamer released a video showing her support to the victims. And the article ends showing the video of this last girl.” Velma said as she lowered her phone. “So this woman outside said her daughter is a streamer too, she just didn’t knew the word. And she can’t be the mother of any of the girls from this article since her daughter went missing as she wnt to the store, and not returning from school.”
“So we have a similar profile. The girls who are vanishing are all girls who play videogames?” Asked Daphne.
“Streamers? Yes.” Velma replied firmly.
“And we have a location, the woods. Let’s go gang.” Said Fred as he started up the van.
As they were driving the sun was setting. They reached a road where the houses end and the other side of the road was where the woods started. They made a stop on a gas station.
“Come on scoob!” Shaggy said as they both ran inside the store of the gas station. Velma decided to go behind them and Daphne stayed with Fred pretending to slightly faint close to him at the idea of disappearing. Velma kept walking towards the store.
“Don’t be silly Daphne! You don’t play videogames!” Fred laughed at the distance. Velma opened the door as she heard the sound of the tone every time someone enters. She was looking at her phone searching for more articles of the unfolding events.
“Welcome there!” The clerk said. “Shouldn’t you be home at this hour girl? Haven't you heard whats going on?”
“Yes. I do.” She said monotonously.
“Well you should be at home instead of going alone for a snack”
“I’m not alone. Im with my friends.” She said looking towards the only other 2 costumers in the store.
“Those 2 goofballs?” The clerk said as they both looked at them. Shaggy tried to reach the top shelf of chips as he had like 8 on him already and he fell to the ground followed by Scooby falling on top of him. A bag exploded and chips flied through the air.
“Sorry!” Could be heard behind the shelves followed by nervous laughter.
“Yes. These are my friends,” Velma said with a sigh. “Do you know anything about the missing girls?” She asked the clerk as she got closer to the counter.
“Well of course!” He replied. “I attended one of the girls on this very store before she went missing!” He said.
“Really?” Velma asked while putting her phone away. “What can you tell me of this girl?”
“Not much. She came her often, I always saved some of her favorite energized drinks that she liked just for her as they are sold out quickly!”
“Energized drinks…” Velma repeated to herself. “What else?”
“Well she came here alone and asked for the drinks! So I went to the back to get the ones I was saving for her and when I came out she was now with a friend of hers!”
“A friend of hers? Do you know who this other girl was?”
“No idea! She hasn’t come to my store before! She paid for the drinks and they walked outside together!”
“Was this friend one of the missing girls too?” Velma asked curiously.
“I don’t think so! I don’t remember her face that well but I’ve seen the pictures of the missing girls and she is not one of them!” The clerk replied.
“Interesting…” Velma said to herself. “Well, did you see where they went after getting out of the this store?”
“I think they went into the woods right in front of here! I thought to myself kinda weird since she’s not the type of girl who likes the dirt! Her friend might do, who knows!”
“Thank you.” Velma said as she placed some coins on the counter.
“Hey! This information was free!” The clerk said.
“These are for the bag of chips.” Velma said. “Shaggy! Scooby! Let’s go!” Velma exited the door. Shaggy and Scobby followed, Shaggy carrying a bunch of bags of chips on his arms. They all got close to the van. Fred was outside finishing pumping gas and Daphne was inside the ban on the front seat with a frown and her arms crossed.
“Hey Fred.” Velma said. “I just had confirmation that one of the missing girls might got lost in the woods right here.” She said pointing to the tree line on the other side of the road. “The Clerk inside told me.”
“Really? We should investigate right away then. Let’s see what we can find.” Fred made his way to the back of the van and opened the back doors. He got some flashlights. He took one and handed it to Shaggy.
“Okay. This forest seems big. I think we will cover more space if we divide in groups.” Daphne exited the car and started walking towards them. “Velma, you can go with Shaggy and Scooby. Daphne you can go with m-“ Daphne took the flashlight off of Freds hand.
“I will go with Velma.” She said as she took Velma’s hand and started walking towards the tree line.”
“Are you sure?” Fred shouted to them.
“Yes! I don’t play videogames! Remember?” Daphne said grouchingly.
“Lets go Shaggy” Fred said at the distance.
After walking and searching for a couple of minutes into the woods Velma noticed Daphne in a grumpy mood.
“What’s the matter Daphne?” Velma asked her.
“Ugh, nothing.”
“Hmm. Is it because of Fred not giving you the attention you’re looking for?”
Daphne placed the flashlight on Velmas hand. “Ugh! I’m just trying to see if Fred feels the same way about me! But he isn’t making it any easy on me!”
“Right…”
“I think it will help if- oh! Look!” Daphne paused as she pointed to a house in front of them. It was a huge house, sort of like a mansion but in the middle of the woods. It seems abandoned. Velma pointed the flashlight towards the house. It’s an odd house. Definitely worth checking for clues.
“Lets go Velma.” Daphne said while grabbing Velma’s hand and walking towards the house.
A squeaking noice was heard as they opened the old door to enter the house. They both made their way inside. Velma started looking around with the flashlight. It seems possible the missing girl might have been here. There was dust in the air everywhere. Seems nobody’s been living in here in years.
After looking downstairs and finding nothing while Velma had to hear the sobbing of Daphne and her love for Fred, they decided to head to the stairs to look on the second floor. As Daphne was expressing Fred’s unmatched beauty and intelligence Velma interrupted her. “Look!” She pointed the flashlight downwards. There were small footprints just like theirs on the stairs. They were printed on the dust. A girl has definitely been here.
“Yes!” Daphne shouted. “Come on let’s follow them!”
They both went upstairs and find their way into a room. They both went inside and the footprints ended there near a table. They both started looking around. There must be something else here. She couldn’t just vanish into the air here. Daphne was looking around the room and suddenly Velma called her. “Jinkies! Daphne! Come here!” Daphne looked around and saw Velma kneeling looking below a table. She went and stand beside her. “Look! A girl’s underwear!” Velma said. Daphne kneeled beside her. Velma was pointing the light to the pink girl underwear that was lying on the floor below the table.
“A clue! Yes!” Daphne exclaimed. “If I manage to solve this mystery do you think Fred will see how intelligent I am? Oh, maybe he will fall for me!” She said as she daydreamed in love.
“Don’t you mean if WE solve this mystery?” Velma replied to her friends selfishness, but it was in vane.
“If he falls for me he will hug me! And then we will kiss passionately! Oh and then!” Daphne exhaled in love. “Then he will be my first. I will lose my virginity to him!”She kept daydreaming. “I will solve this mystery.” She said now determined. Daphne extended her arm and took the girl’s underwear. There should definitely be another clue around. But this is the proof one of the missing girls was definitely here.
“Lets keep looking” said Daphne. As they both turned around, two big figures in capes were in front of them. The two girls both hugged each other instantly and screamed in fear. The flashlight fell to the ground.
To be continued…
