Finding an edge in small caps (trade examples)

Comments

Hi ben, just subscribed to your patreon. Loving these videos. YouTube drought forced to subscribe. Reluctantly giving you my money 😆

Epicdude4822

Hey I probably wouldn’t short it as it looks like they just jumped on good earnings news and the price isn’t coming off yet. I like to try to short stuff after it starts to die a little

Hey Ben, what do you think about QBTS is it an obvious short by selling calls or Cfd short ?

Apo

Yea trading, patreon, and some youtube income

Ben needs your money

Do you trade fulltime and make the patreon content as your income? How's your PnL from trading to sustain yourself? I can't imagine you're making enough from Patreon alone to sustain yourself.

I'd probably sell the straddle if IV is jacked but haven't looked at it closely so hard to say

Hey Ben, what’s your thoughts on Pltr earnings tonight ? How would you play them if you do ? IV is obviously through the roof

Apo

That's amazing congrats on your returns!

hey ben, greate video. i have been profitable shorting these stocks for two years now. the edge on the short side is huge. was able to average around 9% per trade totalling in nearly 800% last year. risk management is critical for sure. sometimes this stocks jump from one halt to another. i would suggest you using python to backtest your startegie. the risk of bias your analysis is much lower then. Greetings from Switzerland ✌️

ben daytrading streams would be cool

KruczEEk

so basically just sell small cap stocks 👍

Fresh Zander

So, what I’m hearing you say is, the best way to make money trading small caps is to sell a course.

c

Yea I'll do that I can link them on here unlisted

Ben needs your money

Have you thought about uploading your older videos here. I know there's a reason you took them off YouTube but I still find them informative and entertaining

Sebastian Simpson

Yea I think it's great for volatility traders

Ben needs your money

Do you still recommend the predictingalpha platform

Emmanuel Z

I bet that's a good idea. I'm guessing because of the lower liquidity how much you make would be highly dependent on where you get filled and how you manage trades that go against you. Because it's basically a lottery ticket you're selling, you'd probably want a plan for how you're gonna hedge the options with the stock in that situation, and want to be tuned in with the news & premarket trading.

What are your thoughts on 20 delta, 45 DTE options managed at 21 days or 50% max profit? Not relevant to small caps, but still. They seem so volatile, that selling calls against them might make sense?

Zack

first!
