News From the Six Realms #87 - Spooky Season

Hello everyone,

Can't believe it is almost the end of the year already, this one has just flown by. I would have liked to be closer to finishing this act by now, but unfortunately some setbacks on the writing side have slowed us down a bit. However, we are making solid progress towards the finish line - the new backer release that went out at the end of the last month was a big one, our 0.4, which saw the introduction of all the mechanical changes Rein and Dragoon have been working on for the better part of the year. Judging from the few positive comments I have seen here and elsewhere, and the general lack of complaining, I am assuming that people like them. Never one to rest on our laurels though, we are busy at work with the November release. :)

What will the release entail, I hear you cry? Well, as with the past few releases the focus will be on trying to finish the ongoing Goblin and Fae narrative arcs, with Exagie and Hooky focusing entirely on thier respective storyline, and we will hopefully be seeing another Zii-Zii event, along with two new Fae ones. In addition to that, Nyx will also be continuing the work that he has been doing on the Helayna NPC arc, and if Rein has time left over while working on his grand Astarte revamp, he may get to write a Cliohna event, and some Jezera content. 

On the art side, the backers have now seen all of the sketches from the first month's CG list, as well as a few finished pieces. Sommy will be finishing them up over the next few days, as well as all of the variants, and I will continue to share them before sending out the art pack on the last day of the month as always. Dragoon is unavailable for personal reasons for most of this release cycle so we won't be doing much on the mechanics/QoL side, but there isn't much left to do on that side after the raft of changes in the previous release, and we will be getting on to what is left when he is back. 

That is all for today. If you are waiting for the poll, I will be doing that after I finish writing this, so give it ten minutes or so and it should be up. As usual, the release is planned for the final weekend of November, which this year falls on Sunday the 26th.
