News From the Six Realms #65 - Summertime and the Living is Easy

Hey guys,

Looks like it is that time of the month again. This is just going to be another quick one as I'm still hacking away at the mechanics, but I wanted to let you all know what is going on with the upcoming release.

As always, work is well underway on this month's release, and as always it should be on time as long as I don't get struck by lightning, or something similarly disastrous. Writing-wise, as mentioned previously we are focusing on the NPC arcs now, so you'll be seeing progress on a couple, with new events for Draith, and Cla-Min from Exagie and Wildquill. Winter has been working on the Alexia high corruption signpost event, something I'm sure a bunch of you will be interested in no doubt, and lastly, we've been keeping this under our hat, but Hooky has been working on updating the prologue. It is the oldest piece of content and we all agreed it needed some editing to bring it up to the standard of the rest of the game. We are splitting it in two to make it more manageable, but you'll be seeing a chunk of the improved version in this month's release.

Art-wise, I have all the sketches back, and as always I'm sharing them with our backers. MDN is just finishing off the last of the line art before it goes off to the colourist, and Sommy is making good progress, so in addition to the new CGs, we'll have a chunk of updated old ones as well. As for me, I'm still working with Dragoon and Rein on the mechanics, and I'm hoping to get that tied up by the end of the month, so we can do a bit of testing, and hopefully, add it to the September release.

That's all for today. Just a quick word about the release date for this month - it would normally be the 25th (the last Sunday), but that is my grandmother's birthday and I'll be out all day and unable to do the usual 10-12 hours of work required on release day. Therefore the release date for this month will be the last Saturday, which is the 31st.
