Not sure if someone already suggested it - would it be possible in theory to apply a mode where you don't need to care about gameplay, and simply read a plot, and make some choices? Something similar you may find in "The Man Of the house" for example, where you remove gameplay, and simply enjoy all scenes, without caring about gameplay.
