News From the Six Realms #48 - Is it Spring Yet?

Hey everyone,

A little later with the news post this month, as the last release took it all out of us a bit more than usual, but that doesn't mean we aren't hard at work on the next update (more on that later). It has been a really positive month for the game: the new release was very well received, the Patreon is doing well, and we may even break 10k for the first time which is a pretty huge deal. Meanwhile, the game is selling pretty steadily on Steam, even after the initial visibility boost. We currently have 25 reviews, all of which are positive, which I'm very proud of (we need to get to 50 for the "very positive" tag though if some of you haven't written reviews yet, hint hint).

Moving on to the release - Again, the main focus will be pushing on to get Rastedel finished, now that the goal line is in sight. Winter is going to be working on the Werden route that was missing from the previous version, as well as some of the post-sack content. Rein will be helping out on that front, by working on the alternative slums route (siding with Maud). Hooky is continuing to develop the Fae arc, while both he and DM are working on events for some of the other pools. We have all been discussing narrative arcs for the castle NPCs, as well as the plot of Act 2, so you will be seeing more of that in the near future when Rastedel is done.

On the art front, I have all the work back from MDN for this month, the backers have seen all of the sketches already, and I will start sharing the finished pieces later in the week. Sommy is working on narrative CGs for Rastedel, and has already finished one, on top of his usual art director duties. Keidi has been busy with other work for a while, but she's almost finished a bunch of variants that we can use for some of the lesser NPCs of Rosaria (as you can see in the image above).

That's all for today. I'll be doing the CG poll in a day or two (even if the result is pretty much a foregone conclusion - Greyhide). The current plan is to release the next version in the last weekend of March as usual, which will be the 29th.
