News From The Six Realms #5 - The Fate of Helayna, Kass Update, and More

So it is looking like last month was a fluke, which is a bit of a shame, but we soldier on regardless. Slow and steady wins the race after all.

Firstly today, I'd like to talk a bit about Helayna. She is clearly a popular character (she won the last two polls), and I've had quite a few messages and comments about her from you guys, which has caused me to rethink my plans for her. It seems a bit silly to make a character that a lot of you love disappear for a few years until I'm in the position to make another game, so I have decided to keep her around.

We are still discussing between us how this is going to work plot wise, but what I can tell you is that we will be adding one scenario that quite a few of you wanted - the option to "claim" her during the assault on the keep, and avoid the scene with the orcs / knights. Where it goes from there, we haven't decided yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Moving on, as you can see above, Keidi is currently working on the sprite for the character Kassandra designed, who will be coming in the near future. Just a reminder, for those of you who want the full photoset, it will be going out to $20 and above patrons this month, and available on request to anyone who pledges $25 or more after.

In terms of the other artists, Erick is currently working on the background for Greyhide's forge, and having finished the orc scene, Momdadno has moved on to the next CG. Once I get that back, there'll only be one left in the queue, so we'll have another CG poll to determine the next two.

That's all for this week. I was hoping to have the next release out at the end of the month, but DM has been busy and the map is taking a bit longer than planned, so now aiming for the first half of July.
