Hello all,
Another quick update, going to keep these pretty regular until the next release is ready. Things are coming along nicely on the coding front, DM is almost done with the map, and a large chunk of the castle changes have been implemented too.
In other news, I wasn't too happy with the tiles, as while they look good, but aren't particularly functional, so I've decided to have them redone. The person doing them now has more experience with working with game assets, so he is going to create each tile with 2-3 variations for seamless transition, as well as work on mountain ranges, rivers, and roads individually so they are shaped properly to suit the map. Overall, this will create a map that looks like an actual map, instead of just terrain hexes put together. The downside is he needs time to do them, but he is making the work a priority, and I'll share them with you as soon as I can.
One thing I can share with you now though is the concept art you can see above, for a new castle NPC called Indarah, who'll be in charge of the tavern. Hope you guys like her. I'm also planning in the future to have an alternate male character so you can choose whether you want a male / female NPC to run the tavern, but that is down to funding as always.
