How To Train Your NPCs
Added 2016-08-15 11:28:33 +0000 UTCOkay, with the release out and having a little time to breathe, I thought I'd talk to you guys today about something I'm sure you are all interested in, adding trainer aspects to the game.
I'm a big fan of both Slavemaker and Princess Trainer (despite their repetitive / grindy natures), and since early development, I've wanted to implement similar features into SoC. NPCs that can be trained are called 'Core NPCs', and they will reside in either the guest wing or the dungeon, depending on their level of hostility towards the player.
-How do Core NPCs differ from normal NPCs
First of all, Core NPCs all have their own stats (lust, corruption, obedience, exhibitionism, etc) that can be increased or decreased depending on the player's choices. These stats will open up additional features such as: additional outfits (probably also require material / purchase), options on how to address you / themselves, and new sexual content. Whether you want to train them to be the perfect obedience slave, or a slut who'll beg any stranger to cum inside them is completely up to you.
-Who are Core NPCs
At the moment, the only core NPC in the game is Rowan's wife, Alexia, but the list will expand as more locations, and characters are added to the game. My thinking at the moment is due to their specialist nature, they should probably have something like a quest line related to them. Some of them, no doubt, will be Rowan's former allies, and perhaps even royalty, or important members of the Holy Church. I'll also be listening to you guys about what you'd like to see in regards to Core NPCs.
Work has started on the base code for the core NPCs, and once the shop system is finished, I'll be adding Alexia with some of the basic features, with a view to expand from there. In the meantime, if you guys have any Qs, or suggestions for things you'd like to see, hit me up in the comments as usual.

2016-08-18 07:55:11 +0000 UTCI think this mechanic would be *perfect* to explore and indulge in the Breeding/pregnancy/oviposition/egglaying/lactation fetishes. There are several reasons I feel this would work with the "trainable NPC" mechanic. I'll lay out several supporting reasons/ideas that hopefully will sell the basic premise and if it's taken well, I'd be happy to talk more in a PM. 1: "Flexibility in location.", Both the dungeon and the guest wing would suit the above fetishes well and have several potential in story reasons as to the reactions and the state of the women (and men, for those into mpreg.) they're happening to. For the dungeon, it could be a way to increase (corruption/lust/w/e stat ends up applying here) as well as a way to break the person down. For the Guest Wing, it could be a more intimate affair if the person is a romantic partner or could be more debauched if the person ends up becoming lost in their breeding or such. 2: "Flexibility in method of implementation/impregnation/oviposition.": This is another big one for me, as thanks to this being a fantasy world...magic is around and able to provide an effective fig leaf/hand wave for a lot of the downsides of the fetishes involved. Could be anything from "This is a magical beast/plant/whathaveyou that causes such and such." and you have a ready made reason why it isn't taking months/years for all the spawning to occur. This could also provide Rowan with side-quests/research projects to enable said speeding up of pregnancies and so on or to unlock the ability to breed the various monster/magical plants/anything that can plausibly fit. 3: "Oh so much flexibility in motivations for this being included.": I know this might sound biased as these are my fetishes and all, but I can safely say that I can come up with a LOT of in story reasons why this mechanic could work with the trainable NPC/Rowan having breeders. Besides it being fetishy and hot for those who like it, the breeding/egglaying/spawning/pregnancy fetishes can easily be tailored to provide resources of various kinds from new soldiers of different breeds (both humanoid and insectoid for starters.), to new resources with different effects (milk of all flavors and powers for one, plants with different purposes for another.),to furthering the training of other slaves/NPCs/prisoners (breeding tentacle monsters is always a great standby, as well as creatures with specialized abilities/limited lifespans for breaking/corrupting those that Rowan wants to.) to even major events (could need to train a breeder NPC to work their way 'up' as it were to handling more potent/taxing pregnancies for more powerful beings.). This is definitely where the basic premise of these fetishes and the trainable NPC will shine, in how much they can add to the game and how differently they can do it. 4: "Easily the most preventable/gateable addition to the mechanic.": Since pretty much everything in game is assuredly optional, this requires the stuff I've laid out above to be optional to allow those not interested to avoid it. That is very easily done even within the stuff I've outlined here, as the fetish/focus here would require a choice right off the bat in its implementation, and as such wouldn't feel forced to include the option to not turn someone into a breeder/egg layer/milk producer. Hopefully I've made my case well and helped add to the game, I look forward to the responses and critique this might have elicited.

2016-08-16 08:57:23 +0000 UTCAlexia - Probably the most logical (and easiest) way would just be to tie it to corruption. Male Slaves - Yup! Extra scene - That is on the list for ones I'd like to add, but I'll probably add it as something you can do in game, and not in the prologue.

A very thrilling option would be indeed if you could trick one of the demonic siblings into your training, as some kind of revenge.

And will you add any male slaves in future as well? Also, I was thinking about prologue sex scenes. They both are very hot, but they are missing something... A scene, where you could choose them both at the same time ^.^ Like, Rowan f..cks the demoness and her brother stimulates Rowan from behind, lol :D But that can be for future, if you decide. I think not so many players may want such scene.
