Help me with tech suggestions for Cyberpunk: Badland Madman
Added 2026-01-16 15:10:33 +0000 UTCAlthough I have a framework for the story prepared, I still need ideas for tech. So, I'm making this post to get your ideas. I'll be making a list after that.
I'm listing down categories, and you guys can fill them with whatever you know, no matter which fandom, no matter how absurd or strange it is.
Defense - This can go from armor to cyberware to shield generators, and also property defense systems like turrets and such. Like MJOLNIR armor.
Offense - Guns, offensive vehicles, explosives, or any tech that can harm the other side. Like that DL - 18 blaster. Or Leaper.
General Tech - Something like that Quantum Condom. Tech that can be mass-produced and sold around the world. Tech that is advanced, and also new to the world of Cyberpunk.
Utility Tech - Anything like Sonic Screwdriver.
Energy Tech - You know what this means. Arc Reactors and such.
Health Tech - From droids that heal to Stimpak from Fallout.
Food Tech - From tech that can help him grow food on land again to tech that can outright construct food from matter. Also water-related tech.
Industrial/Construction - Cypher needs to build a lot of stuff. From buildings to tech. So machines, printers, and construction droids. This is pretty important.
Absurd Tech - Halo Rings, Super Star Destroyer. Stuff that Cypher really can't do anything about.
Transportation - From cars to spaceships. Something doable.
Anything that you guys think I missed.
Just go all out and suggest whatever you guys can think of.

2026-02-04 02:33:23 +0000 UTCSince you already gave him a Mind, the knowledge on how to produce the Deroit become Human androids would be useful and also vaguely on par with Cyberpunk tech. The selling point could be an alternative to Gemini FBCs and as more human looking service robots. Also joytoys. For vehicles I HIGHLY recommend the Ubrikkian line of vehicles and vessels from starwars. Also the Theed Royal Engineering stuff from starwars. Fast durable but not so fast or so durable as to be mind boggling and thus limiting the attention drawn. Titanfall mech and bots are also great here. If you want to get a touch esoteric then stuff from Horizon Zero Dawn. Really interesting tech and implications from there. If you want to get very heavy into the vibes and such, technology from the Ancients in Stargate or the Protoss from StarCraft would be really dope.

2026-01-23 00:25:43 +0000 UTCHonestly if your going for what gives him the most versatility and options Star Trek replicators basically cover it as long as something's atomic makeup isn't extremely complex it's able to make it Food medicine tech clothes organs metals It's also able to break things down to learn Thier patterns or if he's able to design it well enough print it out like a super 3d printer and it's also pretty close to Thier transporter tech so its possible to maybe gain it at the same time It would also allow him to create alot of the stuff that's world specific like an example even if I don't think it would be able to but vibranium if he knew the exact atomic structure

2026-01-21 03:17:13 +0000 UTCThe Big MT and the Institute from the Fallout Series each have tech that would be incredibly useful for Cypher to make. For example there is the Saturnite which can be used to make absurdly sharp and insanely heat resistant tools/weapons from. There are also the cybernetic enhancements that the Institute installed into Kellogg allowing him to live for hundreds of years and look relatively young, something that is decades upon decades ahead of what Cyberpunk has to offer.

2026-01-17 17:53:22 +0000 UTCCypher will need synth bodies if you plan to bring Alt Cunningham into the story. There is an in world version with the Gemini body but those cost a shit ton and are monitored by corpos so have fallout/West world synth bodies may be the way to go.

Like they wanna make em why honest who know everyone else wants them so they must be important. Or maybe like iron man armor the nanotec version from the movies. Finally there is a terraria mod pack called the calamity mod give stuff from draedon’s boss loot that he can make somehow. (He is like basically a mechanical god high key with super op end game stuff.)
