2026-01-15 18:38:07 +0000 UTCWhy did Bronn punish Illyrio by making him Prince of Pentos? It sounds like Illyrio had been a pretty good ally, but now Bronn has trapped him in a ceremonial position where the holder of the title is executed should Pentos ever suffer misfortune.

2026-01-15 18:33:47 +0000 UTCIt's pretty much the centre of all magic in Essos. Spellsingers, aeromancers, warlocks, alchemists, necromancers, bloodmages, shadowbinders. All types of people love there. Bronn holding influence there means a large talent pool to recruit some meatbags.

2026-01-15 17:23:45 +0000 UTCIt's incredibly interesting how Robert is resigned to his fate. Ned probably considers asking the Lannisters for help against Bron. A bit sad we did get no further Daenerys scenes or her learning from Bron. Considering the dangers of a city of the dead what's there that's worth risking your life over. I am not as familiar with GOT lore what's at Asshai and why would it matter who holds it?.
