A Word of Caution from MrPlotThickens
Added 2025-07-25 08:54:50 +0000 UTCRecently, Visa and Mastercard have started to crack down on NSFW content.
Although they're only going after video games right now, it's a very slippery slope. 2 years ago, OnlyFans was forced to ban adult content by these two companies. And Patreon was also made to ban a few pages.
I'm afraid that those days are returning. So, it's my request that if something were to happen to this page, you can go and subscribe to my Subscribestar.adult page by the same name.
Let's hope my fears are baseless and that nothing will happen. But in times like these, we can only wait and watch. These companies are too big and nobody can stand against them. The entire financial system is pretty much their pet.
Furthermore, I'll be deleting the old, finished stories and reposting them as one single post with full PDF, Doc, and Epub format files. I don't know if this will make any difference, but at least it'll calm my nerves.
Thanks for reading my stuff. Your support means a lot. I get to write and make all that art thanks to it.
The next chapter will be GOT: Rasputin of Westeros.
See you guys later.

It's because of court rulings that recently opened the door to payment processors being sued for the content people use their services to purchase. Basically, victims of childhood exploitation and CP successfully sued them because people were using their services to pay for that CP online. So now they're starting to crack down because the courts have established the precedent that they're liable for what people use their service to buy. The plus side is that it's unlikely to go beyond cracking down on things that are outright illegal in a lot of jurisdictions. Written content like the fanfics here are unlikely to qualify, but visual media like video games, comics, illustrations and animations - particularly those that deal with underage characters in explicit situations, since that's illegal in most US jurisdictions and many foreign ones as well - are definitely at risk of getting the chopping block.

2025-07-25 22:36:59 +0000 UTCWell, the situation is unclear. Why would any banks suddenly get involved for adult content that will be sold anyway? Well, they will close projects on one platform, the authors will open them on another. All that the authors will get is problems with finding a platform for publishing content. It seems that obscenity does not fall under freedom of speech anyway, and each platform decides for itself how acceptable it is for them. + Most likely, this whole fight is a PR move to maintain the ratings of banking companies. Like for everything good against everything bad, nothing more.
