Things to note: Brandon won't be the next Lord of House Stark. By the time the news of Brandon being safe comes out, it'll be too late. Eddard would have married Catelyn and consummated the marriage, bred her with little Robb in her belly. Taken over as Lord Stark.
So, knowing that Catelyn used to be infatuated with him, Brandon will exile himself from Winterfell and instead choose to live with Wylis, wherever Wylis establishes his home base in the North.

I'd save Brandon. He's a Stark. Plus he stood for Wylis and Lyanna being together. Ned getting the North is excellent. Cat not so much, though their kids are fairly awesome. Can I just say, those fucking rewards are ridiculous 🙄. I love it. Now we need to know how many years it costs to be a Dragon Rider 😆 🤣 I'm not sure who I'd put on the throne honestly. They're all shit choices. Robert is his best shot at getting to the women and kids in the red keep though. Saving the queen and Daenaerys, Martell and her kids, would be awesome. Viserys dieing "accidentally" would be ideal. Honestly it could go alot of ways. Did he ever get the gold Cersei owed him for the bet? He won 40k for the tournament (not including the joust) and bet that double against knocking out Rhaegar's teeth. But i don't remember reading he received it. Either way, fun story.

The anger and grief, the self-hatred over his ill-thought actions, worry over his siblings and what they will think when they hear how his foolishness led their father to burn on a pyre. Or will you write a different sequence of events? Will Rickard die differently? Will he die at all? All in all I am just happy to read what you write. It's good stuff.

2025-07-03 07:19:39 +0000 UTCRickard and Brandon's death is so integral to the rebellion. Seeing as Rickard is not in the poll I assume he will die. Personally I think it's almost required to have them both die. The tragedy of Rickard and Brandon's death, the story of it, really brought the realm together against Aerys. Without that tragedy I feel as if the rebellion is incomplete.
