Yo folks! Here's what we've been up to!

Starting with a word from Vixel!

7/19 weekly report:

Heya floofs! Last week I finished the bulk of the scripting for the Act 2 capstone story. I've had to rearrange some story moments and address various edge cases (like what if you walk away instead of talking to an important character, or what if you fast travel instead of wandering past something we want to show). Also some new bugs to troubleshoot now - but most of the core work is looking good!

Also scripted the Dustin + Mabel + Rascal date using placeholder content for the dialogue. This way I can slot in the finished dialogue as soon as it's ready to go!

This week I'll be working on adding new attacks to the Dustin Dash Challenge minigame, and try to wrap up the Act 2 capstone scripting. Have a nice week! <3

Here's the line-art over the rough sketch. This is with the new vector workflow, which is SUPER heckin convenient to get some really solid secondary/tertiary animation. This allows for a lot faster of a workflow, since I don't really have to worry about cleaning up the lines.

It also allows for a TON more detail/fidelity in the motion. Some of this stuff I would purposely not do for the sake of simplicity in clean up, but there are many more possibilities with this workflow!

I've been working with a friend to help color drop/clean this up. We're learning some new things when it comes to this team-workflow, but hopefully this'll be a game changer for the future of our game development :>
