Drawing characters from the front is always a challenge due to the need for symmetry lol. Mercy was fun and I couldn't resist doing a hair down version when I saw a emote of it lol.

2024-12-20 13:44:12 +0000 UTCThat's a great observation! After the rough beginning sketch, I worked on her face without her glasses and aimed to give her a "sultry" look. To do this I gave her "heavier" eyelids (the part I think you're referring to) -- kinda similar to Jessica Rabbit! The glasses end up hiding this in addition to bringing more attention to the eyes themselves which might have the effect of making them seem a bit bigger/cuter.

2024-12-20 07:06:24 +0000 UTCIt’s super interesting how little changes impact the final look. For instance, when there’s no glasses, Mercy looks more seductive. Likely due to the glasses hiding part of the eyes (I don’t know what the part above the eyelashes are called)
