MNL Progress Report #109

Hey there nudies! Huge apologies for the delay in progress reports! Between the holidays, work, and world events, it's been a busy time for the Birthday Suit team! I've also been especially laser-focused on getting more cutscene work done now that I can properly edit them in-engine, and it's given me a bit of tunnel vision. Hard to pull myself away from Amber's exploits to write about her adventure's progress reports. Sorry, sorry!

The main thing has just been polishing up these cutscenes and making them truly shine. Lots of dialogue edits to better fit the visuals and timing of scenes, a lot of new visuals to keep scenes engaging and snappy, adding music and sound effects, that kind of stuff. We've finished our biggest cutscene - the game's very opening! And it looks and sounds and reads fantastically! I couldn't be happier with it! The team loves it! I love it! And sadly, I can't really share it! I can't upload a video of it because it contains nudity, and even if I could (which I did), video compression does a number on it. I could post it on the discord, but I think it would be much better to experience it in-game in its proper context. So sadly, I'm going to show INCREDIBLE restraint and just keep it in the bag for now. I just have to work even harder to get this demo out faster so you all can experience it!

Everything else has been going smoothly, too! I hope you all liked our rewards for this month! We actually went through a number of different ideas for pin ups before settling on the one you all got earlier this week. There was one that we ended up liking so much that I ended up requesting a finished version of it as well. It didn't quite suit the pin up feel, but it was just so cozy and relaxing that I knew it deserved to be finished. That's the image you're seeing up at the top! Bear's also been back in the kitchen and working on the beach zone. We're already at the texturing stage, and having a lot of fun with it!

I think we can probably finish this one up this month, though I'm not sure if we can fit it into the demo. Maybe as just an empty exploratory area before we add NPCs and such? Would make for some nice photo-ops...
