MNL Progress Report #8

Hey there, nudies! Brad here with a small progress report! With the exception of a skybox, we have finished the first exterior location of the game: Amber's street! In the end, we ultimately decided on doing 3D models rather than 2D. It helps that our modeler Bear is talented enough to make 3D models that LOOK 2D! Seriously, look at how well this transitioned from Leslie's original concept art!

It didn't even take that long to make, either! Next up, we'll be redoing the townhouse interior to better match the visual style. With the geometry all in place, it should be a quick enough job to finish up this very weekend. We'll see if we can't show it to you by next update!

The writing front has been interesting, to say the least. As I stated last update, we've been rethinking and refining gameplay mechanics and ended up making some decisions that would require altering the original prologue story a bit. And when I say a bit, I mean I've completely rewritten the game's script from scratch. The rewrite is now complete, and I dare say it completely blows the original version out of the water! The characters are more fun, the motives are clearer, the world is more thought-out, Amber is even MORE adorable, and there's even sexier scenes now, not to mention more of them! Clocking in at a whopping 85 pages in length and 15k words total, this prologue has some fucking MEAT on these bones that we can't wait for you to sink your teeth into!

Speaking of which... The new goal for this demo release is now End of 2022. We think we can get this baby out by December, and we're going to die trying! With the script done, the models done, and some of the gameplay systems already in place, we think this is a pretty reasonable goal that still allows us some time for polish and bug-testing. Even if we miss that deadline, we don't anticipate it would take much longer beyond that. We're certainly going to try, because we want this game in your hands! We NEED you to experience out cutie nudie story, and we know you're excited to play it! As always, I'll keep informing you of our progress. Until then, stay naked!
