The Nexus #108 "The Time Trap" / "Half a Life"

On this month’s edition of our Star Trek recap show, The Nexus, we’re chatting about a pretty cool episode of TOSTAS and a deceptively affective episode of TNG!

First up on TOSTAS, it’s the Klingon-heavy episode, “The Time Trap”! Originally airing on November 24, 1973, this adventure features a space Bermuda Triangle, a group of stranded space explorers that have zero tolerance for violence of all kinds, hilarious scenes of Klingons awkwardly lurking around the Enterprise, and a rare instance of the Federation working alongside the Klingons to save their hides!

Then across the Neutral Zone on TNG, it’s the Lwaxana Troi episode, “Half a Life.” Premiering back on May 6, 1991, this episode features, yes, a whole lot of Lwaxana Troi, a fantastic guest performance from the legendary David Ogden Stiers, a really dangerous science experiment conducted by Geordi and Data, and a surprise, pre-Ensign Ro appearance by Michelle Forbes!
