On this edition of our Star Trek recap show, The Nexus, we're chatting about two off-the-wall and ridiculous episodes of Trek!
First up on TOSTAS, it's the creepy episode, "Mudd's Passion," which originally aired back on November 10, 1973. This episode has the Enterprise crew tangling once again with the disgusting, mustachioed villain, Harry Mudd! This time around, he's pushing a bunch of "love drug" stuff and yeah, it's about as gross as it sounds! Behold, a Nurse Chapel-centric episode! And yeah, Scotty is definitely getting frisky with that cat-like Lt. M'Ress!
Then, across the Neutral Zone on TNG, it's the next dance with Q on "Qpid." Originally airing back on April 20, 1991, this episode has John de Lancie returning as the beloved god-like guest star to once again torment Picard and crew. How hilarious is it with Picard getting peeved over having to talk about his love life in front of the crew? Would Riker risk it all with Vash? Is Vash pushing her luck sitting in the captain's chair? And yes, folks, Worf is not a merry man!
The Nexus is a WHM podcast where the guys futilely go through two Star Trek series at the same time. Thank you so much for continuing to support our family of shows—we couldn't do it without you! We know you have lots of options for pods and we're super-stoked you chose to spend some time with us—thanks again!
