The one dude getting exploded by that rocket launcher was so damn funny I had to rewind and rewatch a few times. 6/10 just for that scene

Bolo Santosi

There are a number of French parcour films, district 12 I think.

Matthew Lloyd

Nah, it’s like the 4th easiest Polish last name to spell.

HockeenightsCT

Dude Steve's voices are so on point, that dude makes me laugh so much with his impressions. Go listen to them clown on the Grumpy Old Men for 10 minutes on the Encino Man episode... just comedy gold man. Drawers.... Andrew: "Oh, man, everyone stop saying drawers." God that shit never gets old. See also - anything Marky Mark. Jupin kills Marky Mark. And they both have a spot on Holly Hunter. I'm gonna head on back to r/fanboy now, my rant is complete.

Brandon

Was trying to follow u dudes on letterboxd and Eric, bro. Your name is really hard to spell.

Brandon

I love this movie. No origin, just straight into a well established Punisher brutally murdering people. I’d love to hear a Warzonementary.

Frank Grimes

Echoing the How Did This Get Made episode with the director. She's very outspoken about MENA rep in Hollywood and she's half Palestinian!

Tala Hobballah

The parkour in Casino Royale is the first time we see Craig Bond and it is so fucking good. The other dude is doing all this amazing acrobat shit and Craig is following like the fucking Terminator just powering through like a fucking wrecking ball. An amazing action scene that established character through physicality

Winson Paine

Steve makes this episodes with his voice lol. Although at some points I’m like ooof is he okay haha. Give this guy some water!

Holt Rowley

The Donatello bit is wonderful. "Shredder throwing up through his gated mask" lol

JK

I love Steve’s voice in this episode.

Paul

We party on Elliott

RJ Cunningham

Another fantastic episode. I find it to be a little exhausting as well in terms of the action. Its good but some rewriting here and there would have made it better.

Ed Harris

What do we do in 7 weeks

Elliott Tipton

Okay, y’all convinced me to watch this. I was hoping you guys would do a too old for this shit on the new daredevil show, I’ve been liking it so far. It’s kind of a bummer they split it in half but they’re filming “season 2” (aka the second half) now so we probably won’t have to wait more than a year for the next season.

Lar

I thought it was really impressive that after having a pretty lengthy run on the Marvel Knights version of the character that was more comedic, he immediately took a dead serious and more mature approach on the MAX book when that started up. Except for a small gap of a few issues on the MK book, he wrote about 120-ish straight issues of Punisher.

Rob Brown

Ray Stevenson actually did get to reprise the role one more time in an episode of the Marvel children’s cartoon The Super Hero Squad Show. It’s pretty adorable. https://youtu.be/8XoRGgpF2qc?feature=shared

Rob Brown

Okay so I've only seen this movie three times you guys did a great job covering it I've always read it when they mentioned a horse's hide that the reason his eye was all messed up cuz that was the horse's butthole. Am I crazy?

Jon Wika

Nearly wrecked my car on the way home when I heard that.

Benjamin Fowler

Progressive Mafia doesn't care about whose kid plays on the girls basketball team, but they do care that they don't cover the spread or else everyone gets their legs broke.

Jason

Looney Bin Jim is probably the worst thing Doug Hutchin-- Well, second worst thing Doug Hutchinson ever did.

Michael Daniels

I actually dislike Punisher due to his literal evil-looking symbol and one-sentence character bio/philosophy that’s been adopted by the most despicable and (for lack of a better word) uncool of all people. What really should be a discussion is the ever-litigious Mouse has gladly given away the Punisher logo for free, allowing scumbags to make millions from selling Punisher based-MAGA/republican/cop clothes, bumper stickers, etc. People should start using Disney IP as pro-democracy, anti-fascist merchandise and clothing. We all know what Disney would do though - Message brought to you from the newly found Woke Mafia

RJ Cunningham

None of us have ever read a TMNT comic, so it's off the cuff! - Andrew

We Hate Movies

Oh, no doubt about it. Grime-tacular was the aesthetic, I believe. - Andrew

We Hate Movies

“You use whatever fuckin’ bat’room you want mother fucka, alright?! it’s your own fucking business.” Steve with the sick, disgusted, put-upon voice sounded very fucking badassh

RJ Cunningham

"You use whatever fuckin' bach-room you want, muddafucka!"

Rose Esposito

I generally really like Dominic West, and honestly I support what he's doing here with the insane OTTness, though adding Doug Hutchinson's performance on *top* of his is just insufferable. There's just not enough scenery for two villains to chew!! Points to Hutchinson's stunt double, who is (allegedly) Jean-Francois Lachapelle, though. Good stuff. (Isn't it kind of funny that S4 of The Wire is widely considered to be the best, and it's the one McNulty's barely in? lol awkward)

Rose Esposito

You know how people speak of certain film studios having a house style of sorts (specifically A24 and Miramax)? Lions Gate absolutely had that in the 2000s with this, the Saw films, and Rob Zombie's early output.

Z

I was surprised how rich and fascinating the Progressive Mafia storyline became.

William K. Wolfrum

I was a bit tough on the Doug Hutchinson performance in the Cawfee Talk, I apologize, for not being much tougher

RJ Cunningham

"Woke Mafia" deserves it's own sitcom

I'd Rather Have No Name

I just got to the part where Donatello dies and is replaced with Mecha Donatello, and I think to myself: was that off the cuff, or were they aware that this is something that actually happened in the comics?

MarkNM

Was not expecting a Disney Adventures shout out. I still have a number of those in a box somewhere.

Voror

I thought for a second he was going to start selling shitty baseball cards at 2:00 a.m.

MarkNM

Is Steve entering his Pacino phase?

Blake Jordan

Steve over there sounding like RFK!

Rob Brown

So there actually IS a Punisher MAX arc where someone pisses on the graves of Frank Castle‘s family to get him to come after him, and it goes about as well as you’d expect. In fact, it ends with Punisher just purposely giving the guy a really lame death. Like, he wasn’t going to go down like a legend like he thought he might. Castle talks shit to him, shoots him in the gut, and just leaves him to die in the woods.

Rob Brown

Ray Stevenson also has a comparably restrained performance in RRR

Jamie

Correction: That first album has some bangers. - Steve

We Hate Movies

"My kingdom for a Mudvayne" was when I knew Steve was loopy from the Dayquil.

MarkNM

Eric saying "there's a holy war on pussy" ... Just fantastic.

Tim O'

There is a great HDTGM EP on this with the director as a guest. Good supplementary pairing.

Elliott Tipton

This movie has a special place in my heart due to the how did this get made episode where the director talks about how she read a bunch of Punisher comics and realized "oh, this character is a joke".

Jamie

And there is a Green Street Hooligans 2!

James C Harris

Poor Steve Sajdak with the grampy voice this week.

Johnny Collins

It was a cold. - Andrew

We Hate Movies

The Progressive Mafia will break WHM legs if Steve doesn't get his "no show, no work" job time to get better.

Jason

Steve doing alright? You guys got sick days in the whm union?

G Goldhar

Just yelled "Macroooo" in my car.

Infinite Terror

Did they explain husky sexy Steve? Or is it just me? 🤣

David Thompson

On Garth Ennis, his Punisher work is sometimes the best work ever done on the character...and sometimes it's flat out embarrassing early aughts edgelord shit. Also not surprisingly, the Irish writer has a hard time writing in the black voice. He got better about it but some of the early stuff is a little...yikes.

Michael Daniels

Top 10 Marvel movie for me easily.

Matt Lambert

Punisher is ok

Jan

Forget the Minecraft Movie. Krispy Kreme Motherfuckers vs. Wanton Sluts: The Movie needs to happen.

Eren Keskin

Sounds like a case for The Punisher

Darcy MacDonald

Mad respect to all 4 guys for all the impressions but especially to Steve for imitating the outlandishly cartoonish accents while still recovering from being under the weather. I salute his dedication to the arts!

Busiris

I also read Garth Ennis’ Punisher: Born when I was like 13 and that’s the one where Frank Castle is in Vietnam and he’s like ripping scalps off and it’s just all so capital-X Xtreme. Too much

Aaron Dowler

I've been going through that, I love his progressively worse haircuts until the whole Venus protomolecule thing happens. Then a jive-talking David Strathairn shows up, what a fun show

Lance Flexington

Cannot remember a second of this movie except some parkour dude getting blown up in mid-air and anything with a mid-air body explosion rules! Just like the werewolf in Monster Squad

Watch_N_Rewatch

Progressive Mafia needs to be a thing ASAP.

Lance Flexington

I remember as a kid being disappointed Thomas Jane wasn't back as the punisher lol. How times have changed. He's really good in the Expanse, however

Ray

And the family annihilation

Aaron Dowler

I think a major problem with the Tom Jane Punisher is that you have to make yourself believe that the Punisher is from Tampa. And I say that as a Tampa native with love for my city, that movie was made a whole lot less classy by being set here

Aaron Dowler

I said this on the live stream but I think it warrants seconds: the gangsters from the sunny episode The Gang Gets Whacked are more convincing than whatever the fuck McNulty is doing here. You have my full undivided attention Dominic West, and that’s not good.

jribs

I knew a guy whose cousin’s metal band did a song for this movie and they used it prominently in the trailer. They paid them a not insignificant amount of money , I forget how much but it was probably between 75 and 100k. The dude demanded they get paid IN CASH so my friend went to pick it up with him and they had to drive out of New York City to Boston with an ungodly amount of cash in the car.

BBB

Fuck yes.
