Patreon Show Drops for the Week of January 13

Hey gang, how the heck was the weekend? We've been kicking back since Little Friday night, but we're stoked to be back in action this week, with a couple shows for ya here on the Patreon. And we're also making a MAJOR announcement that you fine folks can read about below as well. But first! Let's see what's going on in the WHMu this week:

First up tomorrow on We Hate Movies, we're continuing our month of chatting about some of the films we saw last year—good, bad & otherwise—and this week we're setting our stingers on the totally outrageous David Ayer film, The Beekeeper! You can hear us talk all about this ludicrously fun/dumb action flick AD-FREE here on Patreon at the $8 level and up!

Then on Thursday, it's an all-new Animation Damnation where we're absolutely gushing over the new Hamish Linklater-starring Batman: Caped Crusader! We're specifically going through the wild-ass eighth episode, "Nocturne," which you can hear us talk about on here at the $3 level and up!

Just a reminder you're gonna want to get your tickets for our first worldwide digital experience of 2025, happening on January 30 at 9pm/et. We'll be talking all about Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire AND doing that sweet, sweet After Party Q&A! We hope to see you there, but if you can't make it that night, no worries, like always there's a 14-day replay window! Get them tix!

And last, but most certainly not least, listeners in the U.K., Ireland, and, well, let's just say anywhere else out there in Europe, we're so, so, so stoked to announce, at long last, that we will be touching down on your shores this summer! That's right, we've been invited to hold a 3-night residency during the Oxford Comedy Festival in Oxford, England from July 18 through 20! We'll be doing six shows over three nights, including 2 WHM shows, a W❤️M show, and, for the first time ever performed live (except that one time with AD), THREE shows from our extended family: Animation Damnation, The Gleep Glossary, and The Nexus! Below is a rough outline of all the shows, but be sure to head over to our website for all ticketing information. The shows are all on sale now, so don't wait! This is a massive, massive event for us and we absolutely cannot wait to see you there!

And that'll do it for this week's programming newsletter, folks! As always, we're so grateful for all-a-you's continued support to keep the lights on around here, and we sincerely hope you have a great week—especially all of our listeners and friends dealing with the California fires this past week. Please be safe and look out for each other, gang!

Take it easy,
Andrew, Chris, Eric & Steve

AMAZING! I bought tickets for three of the Oxford shows and can't wait til July!

KD

Was already considering a UK trip this summer and a live King Ralph episode might have just sealed the deal

JK

Yayyyyy! Bagged a ticket for each show!

Jessica

Super excited to see the UK shows. Managed to move a few days off around at work so I can make it

Wayne McNally

Wow, Quantum of Solace, King Ralph and a Darth Vader Gleep Glossary! Pulling all the stops for your transatlantic premier! Please reserve Dexter Jettster for when you come to Greece ;)

Chris Christodoulou

Congratulations on going International! This is amazing for you guys, and of course you will knock it out of the park!

Melissa Benjamin

Dinnae ruin that recording, laddie!

Felipe Sobreiro

Have fun out there across the pond! Please tell them to do something about those damn doorknobs.

Oh, don't worry, Ian, we're gonna have a whole new arsenal of dumbass accents. - Andrew

You know it! - Andrew

We Hate Movies

Looking forward to the international incident that results from anything Eric says during King Ralph.

Michael Daniels

Will the gang qualify as the first ever 'Podcast Nasty'? Or how about 'Casty Nasty? That sounds appropriately British. If Eric gets on a roll talking details of the Hellraiser universe, anything is possible 😅

johnny stocker

If the recording fails, we don't stop at Greenland, we take Europe as well

Michael Daniels

Of course it's King Ralph. Can't wait for the Generic 'Bwit-ish' accents 🤣

IanCleverly

Hell of a lineup for the international tour and congrats! Won't be able to go but I hope you all have a great time! Looking forward to hearing you all talk about the Beekeeper!

Voror

Holy shit guys, congrats on being an international sensation. And damn, amazing lineup of shows! (That's the TNG where Bev is having sex with a ghost, right?)

Chris Rose

“Sub Rosa”? The recording for that doozy better work!

Craig

Can't wait for you to tear Beekeeper a blue one. Man was that film god awful and dumb.

John Locke

Oh my god, that announcement is amazing! As someone originally from Oxfordshire I'm so happy you're visiting. Now to figure out how many of the shows I can get to!

Holy shit, that's a hell of a line-up for the UK tour. Can't wait to hear all those episodes (especially QoS, which may or may not be due for re-evaluation).
