Patreon Show Drops for the Week of January 6

Happy New Year, y'all! We hope you had a fantastic holiday season, whatever it was you may have gotten up to, and hopefully now things are calming down a bit. We're so stoked to be back and well-rested and ready to rock and roll into the New Year with our continuing lineup of comedy shows! This week, we've got two brand-new pods set to release and we're super-stoked about both of them. Let's see what's going on in the WHMu this week:

First up tomorrow, it's the first WHM of 2025 and we're chatting about a real head scratcher, last year's comic book debacle, Madame Web! You can hear us desperately try to make sense of this one here on the Patreon AD-FREE at the $8 level and up!

Then on Friday, we're racing into the weekend with a gassed-up We ❤️ Movies episode all about George Miller's Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga! You'll be able to hear us chat about this guzzoline-powered prequel here on Patreon at the $5 level & up!

And remember to snag your tickets for our Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire digital live show that's happening on January 30! Don't forget that subscribers at the $8 & $10 levels can connect their Patreon accounts to Moment and add on their After Party Q&A ticket for free! When on the ticket buying page, be sure you're linking your Patreon account here—

— this is how you knock that After Party ticket charge down to zilch! This latest Ghostbusters film features fairly solid performances from Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, along with a return to our beloved New York City, plus, a whole lot more we'll certainly be chatting about on the night of! So get your tickets now and we'll see you on January 30 (or any time 14 days after the show)!

That's all for this week, gang! We hope your first full week of 2025 is going smoothly and we send out much thanks and appreciation for your support on this wild endeavor, all by continuing to be the kick-ass Patreon subscriber you are!

Take it easy,
Andrew, Chris, Eric & Steve

I wish it had done better, but I did not like Furiosa at all. What could motivate this mysterious and strong female character? Oh, it's because mommy issues and her boyfriend died. How original.

The whiplash this week of one of the worst movies and one of the best movies last year is hilarious. But I remain so mystified and baffled by Madame Web that I kind of can't wait to revisit it and hear the gang talk about it.

So few of us ever get to the fireworks factory, and for that I commend Madame Web for literally getting there.

Furiosa got a raw deal. It does its own thing to stand apart from its predecessor. Both are great movies, and when I watch either one, I'm not thinking that I'd rather watch the other.

Wish we had 2 months of previous years worst!

I can’t wait to hear their takes on Madame Web. It should be a blast.

Bryce Zubriski

Andrew hit on it in his Letterboxd review, but I fucking love that they go to the literal fireworks factory at the end of Madam Web (although they never seem to get to the proverbial one)

The human mind is truly an amazing thing...

Hemsworth is so batshit in that movie that I almost wish Furiosa had been done on a lower budget like the old Max movies, so that the performance would have stood out even more. At the same time, Miller deserved every cent and still does.

Sometimes our brains will save us from our own trauma.

Hoo baby. I watched Madame Web during my own Christmas Break when I saw it on the schedule, and about 30 minutes in I couldn't really remember the beginning of the movie anymore. That's how quick that thing was flying out of my brain.

Furiosa is great. Gonna be epic. I almost came

So stoked for these next few episodes! Hope you guys had a great holiday!
