Once In A Lifetime #23 "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder"

On our final Once In A Lifetime of the year, we're getting into the holiday spirit with the outrageous Lifetime Movie Network holiday mystery, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder! How sad is this old lady's ceramic gnome collection? How funny is it when this girl takes a nap outside in the middle of winter in that one scene? How obnoxious is the character of this woman's assistant who also works at her shipping company? And why couldn't we get more Eric Roberts? PLUS: Worf from Star Trek TNG attends Degrassi High!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder stars Cristine Prosperi, Travis Burns, Eliza Roberts, Robert Donavan, Kelcey Watson, Erin Gray, Elaine Partnow, Angelie Simone, Julia Farino, Joe Finfera, and Eric Roberts as Lloyd; directed by Amy Barrett.

Once In A Lifetime is a bi-monthly (every-other month) WHM podcast where the gang watches some outrageous Lifetime (and Lifetime-adjacent) movies and attempts to sift through the madness within.

Thanks so much for supporting We Hate Movies on Patreon! We know you have a lot of podcast-related listening options and we're grateful you chose to spend some time with us. Please be sure to spread the word! Your support is what keeps this train moving!

Eric was a Patreon sideshow making machine in this episode! Make every single one. ๐Ÿคฃ

Does Eric have something to tell you guys about the Patreon money? Pitching spinoffs on every show, upcoming lawsuit from the clumsy workerโ€ฆ๐Ÿค”

Samuel McGuire

If Eric gets killed, the movie should be called. We Hate Murders.

Daryl Williams

But if y'all want to do a cash grab for the true crime fans, you can finally do the We Love Movies ep about the The Zapruder Film.

Andrea Spears

All the talk of true crime podcasts is very funny to me, because the only other podcast that I've listened to for like 10 years consistently is Last Podcast on the Left. Y'all are actually very similar, sense of humor wise. I always thought it was funny that you both have a Polish man with a filthy sense of humor who occasionally goes *too far* for the rest of the guys. If you made a true crime podcast, it would have such a similar vibe ๐Ÿ˜†

Andrea Spears

Watching this with my wife right now and she said we should start doing a shot every time someone mentions that Tippy always used the railing. Weโ€™d be dead by noon

Chris Rose

Erin Gray was also on Silver Spoons.

Recorded at Santa's toilet

"A Talking Gnome!?!"

Idk if you guys actually watched the Staircase show with Colin Firth & Toni Collette but it does feature the exact same scenario you joked about this episode (kitchen rimjob). What a fun (?) coincidence. Anyway I love this show and I wish yโ€™all would do it more often sometimes. Itโ€™s so campy.

Lar

I was hoping for Eric Roberts to voice one of the Gnomes :(

Eren Keskin

Fun fact: Diana's dad was played by the star of Ski School and B-Movie icon himself, Dean Cameron!

And the once monthly special We โค๏ธ Murders

Aunt Tippy turned the tables on Steve and pushed him down the stairs.

You guys have a lot on your plate. But a mocumentary true crime podcast describing a movie would be fun.

Iโ€™m a few years older then you guys and Erin Grey on Buck Rogers was a sexual awakening for me. In the first season she wore a skin tight jumpsuit similiar in cut to 7 of 9s.

Dan sulin

gotta have Sadjak on these, c'mon, he's Mr Lifetime!

StylinGreymon

As a Gen X lady who mostly answers to Frank/Frankie, I have yet to encounter any dudes my age or younger going by that name, it's all grampys and up. This was a hoot and like Cabin said, evaporated upon impact. Primo Lifetime cotton candy.

Francesca Gravatt

Congratulations to Szyszka for avoiding a frivolous lawsuit! God bless us every one!

Mark Ibarra

I remember Erin Gray from Silver Spoons! This movie was not great, but definitely worth watching for this!

Top tier as always

Looking forward to learning about Steve's fate when Lifetime releases The Wrong Podcast.
