Fuck yeah the judge!!

I never liked that song either, Steve. It's kinda repetitive.

Dio mio... Una donna gigante.... Uhhh

My read on the scene where Taj is covered in petrol is that she knew from the second he got out of the car he was covered in gas and just didn't really register when Oz lit the fire. (Or was so worried for her son) Going to strongly disagree with Chris' read on how it should have gone down. The woman was a mob boss and Shohreh Aghdashloo. I can totally buy her dying a metal death. I do however completely buy his assertion that "The Judge" will be an A tier episode so it's all good. I also love how Oz can burn a mother and her child to death and then go home stinking of burning tiktocker and hug his mother and not relate it to what he just did. Something worth remembering from the episode where he scolds the waiter for finishing Vic's sentences is that later when Vic is nervous and stuttering, Oz shouts at him to hurry up and get what he needs to get out. It's such a great character study because in the moments when he is a "good" guy, you can tell he believes what he is saying, but the second he needs something he will cut your throat. My wife compared him to a cat in that regard.

I mean Batman basically says at the end of the film that he's going to re-evaluate his persona. Gotham is a big city. There's a lot of crime and Batman is one person.

I am glad they are keeping Bats out of it, but it would be a such a perfect end after him slaughtering every Irish Italian American in Gotham, sacrificing and suffering to be top of the heap and at the height of it Batman busts in and brings him back down to earth

I don't get why they carted off that kid to a children's home. If you've ever been around Italian-Americans (or Irish people pretending to be Italian-Americans), you know that there's always like 150 cousins. You're gonna tell me this kid doesn't have an Aunt in Secaucus or something?

Michael Daniels

I don't understand why Warner/DC are so coy about Batman. Have a scene where a stuntman in the Batsuit whoops some ass or something.

Michael Daniels

Naturally, the best excuse for Batman's absense is that he is at home, washing his tights!

I love this show more and more - I’m talking about the characters with my mom as though they are real people, that’s when you know it’s a good show.

Jaime Lee Ezell

My hot take: I love this show. It’s a great show. However, I can tolerate a Batman-less series that takes place in Gotham for one season—maybe two. If this drags on for multiple seasons—with Matt Reeves hiding Batman-then I’m out. How long can they keep saying, “Well, Batman’s busy. He’s doing something else.” I love Penguin, but eventually, we’ll need Batman to make an appearance.

I assume ending the series with a black-gauntleted fist punching through a new Maserati moon roof and dragging poor Vic out screaming would be too on the nose but come on, man.

Woo! Can't believe we're already at no. 5. We're gonna check this out over breakfast and delve into Ep 6 later today. Great show, great times! There were (writing) elements we weren't as crazy about on this episode, so I'm interested to see you guys' take on the ending; say no more. Stay safe and stay great. Don't forget to wear the blue!

Mentioning D'agostino's is about a big as they get for NYC references! What's next? Sloan's?
