First up on Beverly Hills, 90210, it's the ridiculous episode, "Destiny Rides Again." First airing on November 4, 1992, this episode has Donna and David considering having sex while they're publicly shamed by a priest in the adult section of a video store and Rosie O'Donnell on live television, the return of Dean Cain's Rick as he aggressively woos Brenda away from Dylan, Steve Sanders forcing his freshman buddy to commit computer crimes on his behalf, and Andrea being involved in a (hilarious, sorry) hit and run accident with a Mad Max car!
Then, up the street on Melrose Place, it's the whack-tacular episode, "Psycho-Therapy"! Premiering on April 20 (nice), 1994, this episode has Michael using Sydney's escort service to blackmail his boss into giving him a major promotion, Alison getting tricked into kind of dating her creep therapist, and Amanda convincing Jo to help her in the kidnapping and light torture of her pervert handyman, Ted!

I watched 90210's early seasons when they aired but never in syndication, so all of my memories are foggy. As soon as you mentioned a black teenager with a crappy ponytail I wondered whether it was the same black actor who rocked a crappy ponytail in "A Different World" and it 100% was. That was a bad decision Cory Tyler was making for himself, but he totally had that market cornered so I guess it worked out. 🤷🏾♀️

(That's this guy's racket, selling master keys to little rich boys) Not really a correction, but if I remember it correctly, (not gonna go back to check for sure) didn't the twins get the same score the last time, they took the SATs? Which would mean Brenda now has the higher score. Of course Brandon is going to be a stinker about it. (Although it is possible, that I'm giving the show to much credit for continuity here) Also, hilarious. The show that is.

It’s social engineering so I count it as hacking, meaning Steve Sanders is technically an accomplished hacker. Also I was dying when Andrea got hit by the Death Proof guy and did the Family Guy death pose.

I have a friend who worked as a video editor for the Playboy channel (ask your grandparents about the Playboy channel) and he told me that XX is basically Skinemax: fully naked people thrusting away but none of the hardcore stuff. I also learned that many XX movies were just pre-existing XXX films that had had the hardcore elements edited out so they could be resold to Cinemax and the like. Glad this bit of ephemera I picked up could finally be of use
