Patreon Show Drops for the Week of June 10

Hey, gang, we hope you had a rock-solid weekend! The four of us are (mostly) rested and super-stoked to get back into it this week! We've got some great stuff coming up in the WHMu, so let's take a gander:

First up, tomorrow, WHM is all-new with a total banger episode on the candy-colored comic extravaganza, Dick Tracy! How much do we talk about Dick Tracy's disgusting chili addiction in this episode? You'll have to listen and find out! This episode can be downloaded anywhere you get pods, but if you're here on Patreon, you can listen AD-FREE at the $8 level & up!

Thursday, Once in a Lifetime is BACK and we're talking about the outrageous Brian Austin Green vehicle, Unwed Father! Is this movie really just what would happen if David Silver got a West Beverly girl pregnant? The answer is YES. You'll be able to hear our wild convo on this one when it drops on the Top Tier $10 Walsh level!

And finally, on Friday, we close out the week with this month's edition of our cartoon re-cap show, Animation Damnation! This time out, we're talking about the mostly forgotten Men in Black animated series that was, um, less than stellar. This ep will be available for all subscribers at the $3 level & up!

Oh, and one last thing before we go, well, two. First: just a reminder that On-Screen Live is back later today at noon/eastern on our YouTube and Twitch channels. We'll be reviewing Bad Boys: Rider or Die and The Watchers, and also sharing our first thoughts on this new Star Wars show, The Acolyte, based off the first two episodes that have aired! Okay, and second, on this week's On-Screen Live, we'll be making a fun announcement that we wanted to share with you all beloved Patreon supporters FIRST:

The WHM Summer Virtual Show is on the books and happening! That's right, we'll be on the air LIVE, Thursday, July 18th @ 9pm/eastern doing our next WORLDWIDE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE, chatting about one of our ALL-TIME FAVES, Jan Da Bont's action classic, the Keanu Reeves/Sandra Bullock/Dennis Hopper masterpiece, SPEED! Tickets are on sale now, so we wanted to give y'all first crack at 'em. We'll also be doing a Q&A After Party like always, so make sure you bundle them tix to hang with us after the show as we answer audience questions while imbibing! Oh, and if you can't make the show live that night, no worries. This time around, our friends at Moment are letting us drag out the replay for 14 days! That's right, gone are the days of the 7-day turnaround, now you'll have TWO FULL WEEKS from the night it airs to get in on the action!

So that's all that's happenin' over the next few days, gang! If we don't see you over at On-Screen Live today, we hope you have a great week and you've got our continued thanks for being the kick-ass Patreon supporter that you are!

Take it easy,
Andrew, Chris, Eric & Steve

Pop quiz hot shot, once the live show goes over 50 jokes an hour the audience is activated. If it goes below 50 jokes an hour the audience starts tweeting @ you on twitter. What do you do? Focus WHM.

I’ve been waiting for Speed on WLM since it began. I’m going to buy a ticket but is there anyway we can get an audio track? I relisten to the episodes and I really want Speed.

jribs

Been looking forward to this one. Was obsessed with this movie as a kid and annoyed the hell out of my sister by constantly saying: “Everywhere I turn it’s Tracy, Tracy, Tracy!”

Craig

I thought it was probably a coincidence, sure. But it's one heck of a coincidence nonetheless. Ticket bought, can't wait for July 18th. <3

Busiris

Def just a fun coincidence, we're not that organized. - Andrew

OH FUCK YEAH DICK TRACY! I love that movie even if I found that the first half was better than the second half. I'm also interested in catching that AD ep about the MIB cartoon. I saw a few of them this past winter and while I like the sharp and blocky designs, the writing felt kind of so so.

Matt Eldritch

Killer artwork Felipe! Andrew, fingers crossed bangs are in your future

Hard To Gwil

That baby doesn't wanna be there

Ray

Damn, I just recently searched the archives because I had a false memory that you guys had covered Speed. Now it's really happening! I'm stoked.

Mark Bisi

Damn my reading comprehension skills! I'll still try to catch it. Y'all are a lot of fun live.

Dominic Kovell

Great choice for a live show, very excited! Did you guys intentionally choose to announce this show today, which is the 30th anniversary of the US theatrical release? If not, fun coincidence!

Busiris

One question that stuck with me all these years after watching “Speed”: When Joe Morton told one of his men that he was fired (cause he fucked up about not knowing that the freeway was not completed), was he really fired? Because he also said, “You’re all fired!” Were they really fired? Did the guy come back to work the next day? I still think ponder that question even today.

Paul

When I was a kid, I was so into “Dick Tracy.” I was crazy about that movie. I even have the action figures. These ones: https://youtu.be/N1tnXgZ_LKI?si=iGdQSRr9yHxFp5sB

Paul

Got my ticket for the live show, can’t wait! And can’t wait to hear you guys discuss The Notorious B.A.G. To steal a wonderful bit Steve 😂

Wesley Hall

The part in Speed where two passengers get into an argument and one of them yells "You wanna take this outside?" while they're both standing in a speeding bus that can't stop is one of those things I haven't stopped thinking about for 30 years

Chris Rose

Woo-hoo! You rule, Joe! - Andrew

The baby's face in the bottom right hand corner likely sums up the UNWED FATHER viewing experience.

Mark Ibarra

Just got my ticket for the virtual Speed show!! That was actually my WLM request this past Listener Request Month, I can’t wait for this!!

Joe Shwartz

Actually, the show is July 18th, not June. We hope you can still catch it! - Andrew

I hated Dick Tracy when it came out. It was barely watchable. Eveybody looked weird and dumb. And Madonna is in it only because she was hooking up with Warren Beatty. And that guy was also terribly boring in the film. But my Dad enjoyed it because he grew up on Dick Tracy so good for him.

John Locke

Beautiful stuff!

Classic WHM bit update: I don’t know if Eric still watches, but according to Wikipedia not only is there a second season of MILF Manor but they’ve stolen part of the premise for DILF Den. “The second season takes place in a lakefront chalet and instead features the younger men competing against their own fathers for the same pool of women.”

James

Intentional or not, thank you for the timing on your Speed show! The next day is Juneteenth, which I have off, and I hope many others have off as well so they can tune in. Looking forward to the insane Dennis Hopper riffs.

Dominic Kovell

Yay for the Summer Virtual show! Speed is such a fantastic pick. Oh and yay for Once In a Lifetime 👶🏼 DJ Daddy David Silver 🚨🚨🚨

Jessie Drew

Never seen Dick Tracy so looking forward to checking it out before listening to the episode. Also got to see Speed in the cinema earlier this year and man what a ride. Totally forgot about Hey Joe Morton being in it. And my GOD Dennis Hopper must've been starving judging by the way he is chomping down on all of that scenery.

Scmods

two dicks for the price of one this week! That MIB cartoon was a fave on WB. Alpha was such a bad ass villain, i almost thought that MIB: International was gonna use him, since Liam Neeson was supposed to be like him
