2024-03-20 18:57:24 +0000 UTCSo my little The Fugitive related story. My grandpa was a waiter at a pretty well-known restaurant here in Chicago for over 30 years. When The Fugitive was filming he waited on Harrison Ford who he didn't actually recognize until he was leaving because he still had the beard from the beginning of the movie at this point. Indiana Jones was my very first hero as a kid (I was obsessed) so my grandpa was a little bummed he didn't realize it before he could maybe ask for an autograph or something for me... but the thing that he said always stood with him and really made him love Harrison Ford after that was that he tipped 200% on the bill.

The scene in the hospital where Richard is cleaning the blinds the woman that is working there looks exactly like Linda Hamilton's roommate in the first Terminator, she has the same hair and headphones and manorisms. Has anyone else thought this?

I'm genuinely tempted to watch it again just because it would be on the big screen.

2024-03-08 15:03:35 +0000 UTCI actually like that Sam Gerard shoots at Richard in the Police Station. We follow Sam so much and start to admire him and this is unexpected. Even Richard looks shocked to realize (along with us that Sam could kill him). It raises the stakes and there is real danger. Also, I imagine Sam is hasn't slept much, his pride is taking a hit cause this guy has evaded him and came into his house (a police station) and his perfect police work becomes more reckless in that moment. Also, it just feels like a western. Love this movie.

They filmed it in his town and he claimed that him and his cousin were even in one shot when they go over the train tracks (but only the widescreen version, lol). He took me on a tour of all the shooting locations and it was so cool. Thank you for this.

We're a historic district, so they couldn't actually do that without the city's permission and they didn't get it, and this area has a long memory.

Most movies have the snowy Winter wonderland setting, but avoid the shit-ass brown snow winter months. The only other film, of the top of my head, that captures gray awesomely is Silence of the Lambs.
