Also, yes, it maybe one of the most popular myths in horror that the Micheal Myers mask is a Captain Kirk mask when it’s really a mask from this movie, 1975 being closer to Halloweens release in 1978. Regardless, fun movie and congrats on another great Spooktacular. Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃

2023-10-31 04:21:24 +0000 UTCThe young lady who plays Tom Skerritt’s wife in the film (and is in that infamously confusing final scene) is Joan Prather, and SHE is the reason John Travolta is a Scientologist! She only did small roles after this and a few episodes of Dallas but probably would have had a better career if not for substance abuse problems. She was helped a bit being a Scientologist in the 70’s and she bonded with Travolta on this set and introduced him to that cult…. 😳
