2020-09-28 19:33:39 +0000 UTCThe rolling platform shot is a Spike Lee trademark, he puts some version of it in just about every movie he makes to communicate a character being overwhelmed emotionally. Think along the lines of the dolly-zoom when Brody first sees the shark in Jaws.

It's SO wanky, Clive Owen is doing a bad accent and his character is trash Bad Boy Cool, Jodie Foster has a weird rictus grin the whole time, and what was with that awful rolling platform shot of Denzel that they're so proud of they put it behind the end credits? Nah.
