Animation Damnation - "Yogi's Gang"

On this month's Animation Damnation, the gang is talking about the completely absurd garbage experience known as Yogi's Gang! The episode in question, um, "Dr. Bigot," originally aired September 8th, 1973, features a rag-tag group of cartoon characters flying around in an ark, a couple of goons that look like they're in the Klan, something called a "bigotry ray," and even a friendly neighbor that looks exactly like Andy Richter! PLUS: Mayor Boo-Boo Bloomberg is running for president of Jellystone in 2020!

Thanks so much for supporting We Hate Movies on Patreon! Please be sure to spread the word! Your support is what keeps this train moving!

“I’m a billi-bear” I agree with Eric. That is awesome.

Robert

I haven't heard this much awkwardness from you guys since "Blame It On Rio" and it's killing me

what does this even mean

If any of you ever says "Are we going to release this episode, or no?" the answer is always, ALWAYS YES!

Minty Snipes

Possibly the best AD episode yet

Leigh Milne

Whoa this cartoon seems utterly mad...

Clifton Jewett

Brilliant episode

Tom R.

Tony Garvey

Guys, if you want the ultimate Tom Bosely Animated Experience you have to do an episode on David the Gnome.

Ryan Sprinkle

We Hate Movies takin 70s cartoon racism to task, funniest episode in AD history. Horse diapers.

Smaug

This AD episode was everything I wanted it to be!

Blake Ferronetti

Oh man I remember this. A lot to take in here. Why didn't they do an "Exit Stage Left Pursued By a Bear" joke? It was right there. And did they invent right wing think tanks at the end?

Andy Ward

What an odd show, I need to check it out.

Frank Grimes

I agree with Eric. This was a high watermark for the AD run. Please return to this series at some point. Those future episode titles were so enticing.

Alexander Farr

I'm find with anything Eric says, he can do no wrong. I look forward to Eric's doodling.

Ten year rule is only for doing movies on the show. It’s hardly a spoiler for them to say “This was good”

Dan sulin

I hate to be that person, but could I press on Andrew to observe the 10 (or at least 1) year rule when offering opinions on movies. I've been saving myself for the Doctor Sleep release on VOD, next week. Avoiding all views and reviews etc. Innocently tuned into the AD, and BAM!!! Sigh. 😐

Maggie0401

I thought it was decent imo, but the Flintstones comic was objectively really good.

LoganTheWise

I'm surprised you guys didn't bring up the recent Snagglepuss comic. It was oscar-bait garbage with horrifying artwork.
