2020-01-20 18:36:57 +0000 UTCI just read someone on Twitter (it was an rt and I forget who posted originally or I would credit them) saying QT's movies are often at points, juvenile. But isn't QT's whole world view in his films juvenile intentionally? He's recreating these things that he loved when he was at an impressionable age. That's why everything feels so heightened or exaggerated. The violence is over the top, the conversations are all witty or acerbic, etc. We're seeing what he saw as a juvenile in his work and I think you have to buy into that going into his movies. I just thought it was an odd criticism.
