The Nexus 37 - "Mirror, Mirror" / "A Matter of Honor"

On this month's journey into the Nexus, the gang starts off with a chat about one of the best episodes of TOS ever, then follows it up with a convo about a season 2 TNG ep that might be more interesting than the guys initially gave it credit!

On TOS, it's "Mirror, Mirror," the alternate dimension classic that originally aired on October 6th, 1967! It features such legendary Trek elements like hilarious goatees, the crew almost giving Kirk the ole' Nazi salute, and, of course, the crew trying to rob a peaceful civilization of their most precious natural resource!

Then on TNG, it's "A Matter of Honor," which originally dropped on syndication on February 4th, 1989! This ep features such classic Trek wonders like Riker pigging out on Klingon cuisine, Picard getting quietly furious with a frustrating gleep-glop cadet, and Worf getting dangerously close to, what else? Murdering a fellow officer!

PLUS: Would Gallagher be the Klingon Empire's favorite comedian?

The Nexus is a We Hate Movies podcast where the guys futilely go through two Star Trek series at the same time. Thank you so much for continuing to support this weird thing known as WHM! We couldn't do it without you!

Riker in Klingon armor? How dare you. That's Klingon stolen Valor!

The British are weirdly fascinated with JFK, you see their take on that Netflix show, The Crown I think it’s called?

Catboyslim

That would have been a hell of a spoiler. And a 'wait, wuuutt?' moment.

Paul DeCoursey-Clark

What it is to Burn was a pop-punk instant classic

Wes Worrells

Boy am I glad I chose yesterday to watch Oldboy for the first time.

Andrew Burt

Love Andrew's failed Finch reference. I knew what you were talking about. I knew. Sigh

Alexander Farr

There was a proposed Star Trek movie that had Spock as the grassy knoll shooter. Gene Roddenberry could never get anyone to go for it.

Glen Ransome

Red Dwarf did a whole time travel episode about the JFK assassination. Spoiler alert: JFK ends up being the man on the grassy knoll and kills himself.

Christopher French

Oh my fucking god yes yes
