Episode 426 - Kingsman: The Secret Service
Added 2019-06-14 04:17:13 +0000 UTCOn this month's full-length bonus episode, the gang is chatting about the absolutely ridiculous Tinker Tailor-esque spy actioneer, Kingsman: The Secret Service! What's the deal with that weird three-way that's about to go down at the beginning? Wasn't it a little late to be putting parkour in your action film? And what is with Sam Jackson's vocal choice here? PLUS: The gang comes up with a pretty decent plot for a long overdue sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit?!
Kingsman: The Secret Service stars Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Michael Caine, Taron Egerton, Mark Hamill, Jack Davenport, Sofia Boutella, and Samuel L. Jackson; directed by Matthew Vaughn.
Thank you all for continuing to support this crazy, weird thing called WHM. We could not do this without you!

I actually love this movie and thought Taron was terrific. Colon Firth is absolutely fantastic too and that church scene is wonderful.

2019-06-21 02:47:30 +0000 UTCKiller ep, dudes! Also- LL Bean changed their return policy recently. If you bought it before 2016ish then you can return for any reason. New purchases just need a reasonable reason to be returned. God have mercy on those souls who work in the return department...source: worked at LL Bean for a little too long :)

2019-06-19 17:40:32 +0000 UTCI honestly didn't know there was some folk who wants to redo Endgame. But on the flip side I'm still hearing from cry babies who want The Snyder Cut of Justice League and created a Go Fund Me page to drum up advertisements to hand out during Comic-Con this year. They've raised over $21,000

2019-06-15 05:54:12 +0000 UTCI actually liked that Jackson did a voice. He got to play a different character for once, like Morgan Freeman in 'Invictus'

2019-06-14 22:02:50 +0000 UTCGive Eddie the Eagle and Rocketman a try, they are fantastic, you guys don't know what you're talking about. Taron is great. (Still love ya, you're one of my two favourite podcasts.)

2019-06-14 18:21:53 +0000 UTCMy favorite episodes are the ones where you guys spend ten minutes arguing over how to pronounce names, so I was pretty happy with this one.

2019-06-14 15:23:00 +0000 UTCI like this movie. This is a we love movies situation for me. Although everybody always Rags on the ass fucking princess, I thought that the dog plot was pretty damn stupid but it's fun

2019-06-14 15:07:21 +0000 UTCJust started listening to this episode. I like this movie because it’s silly fun, but I look forward to hearing what you guys have to say about it. It *is* a ridiculous film. I do have to stick up for Taron Egerton, though, because I thought he was excellent in Rocketman! (But I can’t defend Robin Hood, that thing was garbage. Bono’s daughter plays Maid Marian and can’t settle on an accent.)

2019-06-14 13:52:15 +0000 UTCThe action sequence was designed by Brad Allan, a Jackie Chan protege who got to be a part of the Jackie Chan Stunt Team by being a groupie when Chan filmed in Australia. The dude could move like nobody’s business and is currently the best stunt coordinator in terms of working with visual effects (also did Hellboy II, kickass, and the darth Vader scene in rogue one). Most of Jackie Chan stunt teams graduates are v good at conveying visual clarity and have excellent grasp on editing and camerawork. If you searched around YouTube you could see his previz for all these fight scenes and how little they were altered by the directors he shoots with.

2019-06-14 08:36:10 +0000 UTCWhat’s worse than seeing this movie? Seeing its sequel at the theater: “Kingsman: The Golden Shower.” I felt like I got pissed on by the makers of that movie.
