I'm begging you to go look up the song that starts playing at 32:30. It's literally called No Mercy Percy, and if you listen you can hear that the lyrics are actually the names of the Critical Role cast! Such a fun, sneaky Easter egg.

2025-12-24 10:58:26 +0000 UTCThe funniest thing about the door thing (which did happen at the table) was that the door wasnt even locked, it was just heavy. There was a heavy wooden beam on the other side keeping it closed and they could not get it open using all three of them. They all kept rolling really low on their strength checks to lift it, Scanlan used three spell slots and injured himself in the process of getting inside.

2025-12-12 06:37:19 +0000 UTCAnd I'm back! - You will consistently be shocked by the star-studded cast of this show. Seriously, it's crazy how many BIG names they got. And also very cool that, despite that, they still make sure to cast notable friends in the VO community in major roles as well. For example, the ugly dwarf, Darren De Paul, is a VERY prolific (and VERY talented, that's not even remotely what he sounds like normally,) VA, and the priestess who is talking to Pike is played by Anjali Bhimani, both of whom are friends of the cast and have played in campaigns with them in the past. - On that note, in case you weren't aware, the Duke's VA, Rory McCann, is probably most famously known as the Hound on Game of Thrones! - In the original campaign, Archibald Desnay was a VERY different character. Like, an old guy who's not really terribly important. He definitely got an upgrade in the show. - As comments have mentioned, Percy's big gun is literally, in-game mechanically, called Bad News. It's ridiculously busted, like high damage and insane range busted. - There's a running gag throughout the campaign that Vox Machina's biggest enemy is doors. They consistently have trouble with them, to the point it became a well-known joke. - And finally, introducing MInxie! The sabertooth tiger was one of Keyleth's favored Wild Shapes throughout the campaign. - No Mercy Percy, baby! You thought he was bad a couple episodes, you have NO idea! - "You were the one I was least looking forward to," it lifted straight from the episode. Taliesin really played to win this arc, that's for sure. - Short one this time, but man it's only going to get better from here! Can't wait for the rest.

They're free on Critical Role's YouTube, I believe. And it's fun background stuff I think you'd enjoy, especially the music ep! Of course they don't have a leader! (It's Vex.) Bad News is the name of Percy's sniper rifle because "nothing travels faster." I loved that you started ranting about jellyfish stings & pee when I knew that moment was coming. KEYLETH'S GOIN' MINXIE!! WERE you wrong about Stonefell being a phyrric victory? Hmm.

Rory McCann is best known for playing the Hound on Game of Thrones, and a lot of anglophiles felt they know his face but couldn't place him - he's also Micheal in Hot Fuzz (the Yarp guy) I really need to make notes. I know there was another thing I wanted to mention, but I totally forgot... well, it's past midnight over here, but still... I'm sure other critters will get to it :)
